Both systems have Main GPUs running Core 17, except the 750Ti which has a Core 15 Project 8018.   PPD is up 300k from this morning, but the 760s are projecting a 1.2 day completion.  Four projects are 13000 and one 13001  Looks better than the previous ones for sure.

Well the new 9407 WU's are in beta to replace the old one.  So far broken as ****.  First one was 65% done, but the second GPU kept in a download look dozens of times.  Boot back up, lost the 65% unit completely and now both are in a download loop.

Broken, project is so broken.

Good reading at https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=26085&start=45#p262006
It looks like core 15 has a higher priority then core 17.
Not looking good for any NVIDIA GPU Windows or Linux https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=96&t=25288 on Core 17

Re: Core 17 2014/04/05 09:38:27 (permalink)
So the question is how do I get Core 15 since this project has failed out downloading?  Going from 250K a day to 30K was a hit enough now I'm at 0K.

*EDIT* nm just deleted the beta flag entirely and running like normal.  Good grieve this new Core, it never ends with the drama.

Re: Core 17 2014/04/09 20:07:11 (permalink)
Looking at the 9408 seems almost like a carbon copy of the 9401 prior to crashing, so that's definitely good (running on both my GPU's).

This kind of worries me:

New GPU Project 9406

clones 5
min-core-version 46
natoms 78000
runs 1040
stats-credit 10500
timeout 3.5
deadline 4.5

The number of atoms, base credit, and timeout/deadline doesn't seem like it would take much longer and offer far less QRB unless I am not quite understanding how the QRB even works.

Re: Core 17 2014/04/09 20:57:55 (permalink)
The QRB is mainly a function of how quickly you turn it around in relation to the deadline, so if the deadlines are much shorter but the TPF is also much lower, then there may not be a points issue.  We don't know what timespan each 9406 WU simulates, so it's possible that, say, 9401 did 10 us/WU while 9406 only does 3 us/WU, which would offset the increased number of atoms that 9406 is running.

If the points are off, they will hear about it.

Picked up 2 core 17 9408s on my 680s. My 660ti is still running a core 15 8018.  Nice boost to my PPD from 70K to 200K as reported by FAH

I have had no such luck with any core 17 wu, nothing but core 15 projects.
Do any of you have the beta flag on or is it just luck of the draw?

*edit* Just realized I almost quoted someone else... So, deleting my message and actually quoting robbysites.  *I am curious as well*  Would love to run something that makes the GPUs cooler and happier.

Also, just realized I may cross into the 9m Bracket tomorrow.. interesting.

What do you have your client-type set to?

I am to the Point to stop all Folding even my 4P BA Server.
It is like the FAH Forums are putting single Heavy Folders to rest and they also seem to be very demeaning to their Forums Members as well.

client-type beta

I switched back to it after the 9401 debacle last week got the server taken offline and dishing out 8018's on the beta flag.  Now I'm getting nothing but 9408's since mid-day yesterday running the beta flag.

I changed my 2 GPU folders over to client-type = beta and both picked up the new Core 17. TPF 2 mins plus
base credit - 4000      estimated credit - 28,000     4 hrs to complete.
If this finishes without error it will be 100% better than the results I have been getting for the past several days.
I guess I need to put log-me-in on my pcs so I can flip flop the client-type settings from work.

Seems to run nicely.  At 1150Mhz it ran a tpf of 2:16, 174407ppd, 27280 credit for the unit.
about 75% power on the card and 70c, much better than Core15!

Currently running a 9406.  Again at 1150Mhz, shows a tpf of 3:04, 195000ppd. 70c and 77% power on the card
me likey!

I have had no such luck with any core 17 wu, nothing but core 15 projects.
Do any of you have the beta flag on or is it just luck of the draw?

I have the beta flag on my faster rig and no flag on the slower one and at the moment they both are running core 17 wu, but for a couple of day I had core 17 only on the one slower one :(

Since I changed the client type to beta yesterday I have completed 4 P9101 and 2 9406. I have not picked up any 130001. Right now it appears you want to have the beta flag, however that could change this afternoon the way the servers are working.

It appears 9406 is out of beta and to at least advanced. I started picking them up last night with advanced being my only flag.

GTX 780 1123MHz
Project 9406 (Run 248, Clone 0, Gen 0)
TPF 3:01, PPD 201,150

It was showing in excess of 250k ppd around 50%, but then slowed down.

Primary: i9-10200x @ 4.8, LianLi Galahad 360A, EVGA x299 FTW-K, 256GB DDR4 2666, EVGA RTX 3090, LianLi O11 Air

KittyNode: i5-10400 @ 4.0, Arctic i13, ASUS ROG Strix B460I, 16GB DDR4 2666, GTX 1650 Super, Fractal Node 304

I have one folder set to client-type normal and have gotten successive 9406/9101 projects for the last few days. The other GPU has all flags removed and is picking up nothing but the 130001 projects. My ppd has gone up drastically.
