Hello,

I recently bought a GTX 780 3GB SC ACX, and when I installed it on my Asus P8P67 Evo Rev. 3, at first I thought it didn't POST,
but after about a minute of a black screen or so it goes straight to the bootloader.
I'm already running the latest BIOS (3602)  available for my motherboard, which describes fixing a similar issue where the GTX 680 would hang the UEFI/BIOS on boot.
Unfortunately it seems unlikely that there will be any more BIOS updates for my board, but there appear to be many people using evga GTX 780s on the same motherboard without problems...

Since the system does eventually boot and works fine this isn't a complete dealbreaker, but not being able to use the bios, booting from other disks/media etc. is more than a little annoying.
Is there anything I can do? Any BIOS settings that could have an effect on this since it seems to work fine for other people?

Thanks in advance.

Rest of my system:
i7 2600K,
4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz,
Corsair 850W PSU,
and a bunch disks.

Where do I find the ROMs for that? NvCpl reports the card's BIOS version as 80.80.31.00.82, I can only seem to find older ones.

I feel silly for not trying that before.
That does indeed fix it, now I only have to find out which setting in my OC profile breaks it...
Turns out it was the "PCI ROM priority" setting, which was set to "EFI compatible". Setting it to "Legacy" resolves this issue :)

I have exactly the same problem. I think when you set EFI compatibility mode it forces to boot full EFI disabling CSM. If you do not set this the machine will hang at the splash screen. In my case I've modified the BIOS to boot from NVME on EFI following the steps at Win-Raid.com, so in short I'm still not sure if it's the BIOS or the VBIOS causing this. I'm pretty sure it's the BIOS for the p8p67 that needs updating but I'm not sure if Asus will update a 6 year old board.

I'm trying to hack some of the updates done to the p8p67-L in the 3801 bios to see if that will fix my issue using the mmtool.
