I'm trying to run 2 monitors off the displayport hub.  One is a 27" 2560x1440 and the other is 1920x1080.  When they are hooked up, they both get detected, including the name, but only the monitor on port 1 works.  The other monitor, no matter which one it is and no matter if it's on port 2 or 3, just goes to sleep and won't wake up again.

Does this hub support heterogeneous resolutions?  I'm not trying to use it to span, and i have no interest in doing so.  I just want to be able to plug 2 monitors into my laptop's single (displayport) video output.

What's the graphics in your laptop? It could be that your graphics card doesn't meet the requirements of the hub.

I was on the Intel HD 4000 integrated into my motherboard and the hub just gave me three copies of the same output with no options at all for multi-monitor; as far as the machine was concerned there was only one monitor hooked up (but all three worked and just showed the same thing).

My rig is a desktop though so I was able to run out and grab a new video card (GTX 750) and now I get three separate displays showing up (and the option to set them to different resolutions).
