What does this revision offer? I would assume it overclocks better.

The B1 revision is newer than the A1. I'll try to get you some more info.

I know this is the Ghz edition of the GTX 780. Just curious if this is just a factory overclock or is this going to offer other new goodies?

Also looking to know how I can determine which have the GK110-300-B1. I'm looking to get a new card for a hackintosh build and the GK110-300-B1 doesn't currently work with drivers for 10.9. I'd also like to know the difference so I can determine if it's worth waiting.

The revision b1 should have greater efficiency, overclocking capabilities and core base clock (ghz edition)!

Yeah so I'm trying to find a way to get a GTX780 with waterblock that has the GK110-300-A1, is that still something possible?

On some German forums at pcgh.de, there where some people that got a evga 780 sc acx with the b1 revision on.
Look here , this a pricewatch in germany.
    http://geizhals.de/?cat=gra16_512&xf=545_EVGA
But this is for Europe, but I think that evga.eu and us also have these on stock with the B1 chip , you could ask for sending a B1 GTX 780 .

There are 2 revisions of the GTX 780 GPU.

There are no real performance or overclocking differences between them, just some updates in process/manufacturing.

    All 780's are now B1.

Seems odd there wouldn't be a sku change with a GPU revision.  See this turning into another Samsung/Elpida debate.

According to GPU-Z? I think it's bugged. Anandtech said all Ti chips are B1

Yeah using GPU-Z. Maybe so, but not sure why everything else it is reading about the card would be correct and not that. I wonder if someone could upload a pic if their's shows they have a B1 so we could know for sure.

There is a big thread on overclock.net about GPU-Z being bugged and not showing the correct revision for Ti chips.

False.  I have two 780 Classifieds with that BIOS, purchased direct from EVGA on Oct 10th, with A1 (per GPU-Z says)

Re: Evga GTX 780 with chip nVidia GK110-300-B1 2013/11/22 09:44:51 (permalink)
The GTX 780Ti is a GK110-425-B1 chip and nothing else.

The GTX 780 is a GK110-300-A1 chip, the  GTX 780 can also have the new GK110-300-B1 chip.

The new GK110-300-B1 needs lower volt for over-clocking, so it stays a little cooler, also it can get higher clocks because of this B1 revision, some brands call the new GTX780 the GHZ edition.

The GK110-300-B1 is the same chip like the GK110-425-B1, only it doesn't have the 2880 Cuda-cores, but only 2304 Cudo-cores.
Because the GK110-300-B1 didn't had a  big launch like the GK110-425-B1, it is now quietly introduced with the board partners of nvidia.

That's why there are still brands that have a stock of the older GTX780  and because this , you could get a A1 and not the B1 chip.
A brand always make sure that the old stock is almost gone before they fill up the stock with a new batch like the B1 version.
Also because that next year the new GTX... comes, there are a lot of brands where the production is now on a low pit for the GTX780, because of the stock they have.
If you would like a B1 chip, then you have to ask the retailer for a confirmation  or look at the shop if it has a description like GK110-300-B1.
If you would like to over clock much and on a budget and maybe want to get the last mhz out of it, then get the  GTX 780 GK110-300-B1, if you on a budget and buy a stock or manufacture over-clock GTX780 and you only want to over clock a tiny bit or not of all, then it doesn't matter much if you have a GTX780 A1 or GTX 780 B1.
Or you could buy a GTX780TI.
