noticed other thread but generally media fire and the such links can be dirty or have "EXTRAS" ,so this is  hosted and a clean download from Guru3D ,will change to Nvidia links as they roll out across world later today .

I wonder if this driver will Fold well, the last two versions did not do well.
For Folding I am using 326.80 64bit beta version, for now Gamming will have to wait.
This was a quick release from 331.58 version, not even a month between 331.58 and 331.65

sooo ... is this driver worth it? I recently upgraded to 331.58, but haven't time to play on 670 SLI yet ... will probably upgrade regardless ... but interested in opinions.

I read someplace you should uninstall EVGA Precision X before updating Nvidia drivers and re-install Precision afterwards?

Just turn it off while updating.  Turn it on when you are done.

+1, that's what I do and no probs. it also helps to actually select Custom Mode with Clean Install and just do driver+physx (and maybe 3D stuff and/or HD audio if you NEED them), then restart and done ;)

I had bad luck with folding@home performance the last 2 or 3 drivers I used so I'm not gonna even bother trying these, I will continue to use 326.80 beta

Only if you overclock its required to reinstall it, I use MSI afterburner just to monitor my temp, gpu usage, and vram usage but I don't manually overclock my card at all (no need since I'm only on a 60hz monitor at 1080p) so reinstalling it on driver changes is not needed.

So on a level line if the driver is good for overall Gaming then it should be good for Folding?
I like the point I am now getting but will test on the GTX 760's and see, will post what I find.

No, cause all the 33x.xx drivers I tried dropped my GTX 770 folding down to 37,000 PPD, with the 326.80 beta I get between 90,000 - 105,000 PPD

Re: 331.65 WHQL 2013/10/28 18:19:31 (permalink)
This new driver has the same symptom as the last R331 version: One of the games I play is Quake Live at 1920x1080 fullscreen and when I quit the game it returns to a black screen. My PC is not frozen, because I can do Ctrl-Alt-Del to Task Manager and I'm back to the Windows Desktop. It's annoying so I re-installed version 327.23 which doesn't do that.

All the last several driver versions do another thing. The first time you are in any full screen app, for example Quake Live or even Windows Photo Gallery slide show it exits the 'first time only' at 800x600 and then the Nvidia control panel prompts to be at my monitor's native resolution, but from then on it sticks and preserves my 1920x1080 setting.

No mods, just a custom QL autoexec.cfg with nothing special. Apparently that black screen or resolution thing doesn't happen to everyone. I've posted about it in the QL player support forum before. Maybe it's just my old hardware combination. Either way 327.23 is stable for me. - Steve

I wonder if this driver will Fold well, the last two versions did not do well.
For Folding I am using 326.80 64bit beta version, for now Gaming will have to wait.
This was a quick release from 331.58 version, not even a month between 331.58 and 331.65

I hope this performs as good or better then 327.23
The last 2 drivers are really bad. Performance in all games dropped significantly!

See http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2046092 for scores under this driver, and did drop in PPD.

Those PPD seem low for a 760 (even on 326.80) you should be way higher then that. Do you have a passkey entered, and beta flag setup in the folding client gpu slots?

edit: nevermind was looking at the wrong column lol I was looking at the credit points on the far right of those results lol

Nah you good on ppd man, I just read the wrong column on your stats lol

Are you sure I have never seen 90,000 on any single card that I have.
Should I be getting at least 90,000 on my cards? Must be that I am getting close to overtaking you?
Oh wait I did

But this driver 331.65 WHQL is NOT for FOLDING Back to 326.80 64bit beta
