It should work without an issue.  It is on the CPU support list.

LGA1366 Xeons did not appear until about 6 months after LGA1366 i7's, so some early motherboard revisions will not support -EP Xeons of any kind.

From EVGA technician _NickM, these board revisions have support:

    E757 - rev 1.1
    E758 - rev 1.2
    E760 - rev 1.1
    E762 - rev 1.1
    E767 - all
    E768 - all

Ife you have 1.0 rev of E760, you can't use -EP Xeons; and it isn't about updating a BIOS, your board needs to be wired for their support, thus board revisions.   Check by looking at your board at the lower left corner near the PCIe slots, it should be in white letters.

Note: That post was from September 2010, so any new X58 board revisions thereafter have default support, i.e. if you purchase a new E758 now, it will be sold as a new revision to take -EP Xeons to qualify for their advertised CPU support list as pcmaster00 linked.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

This is true and false.  The 1.0 revisions of the motherboard can support -EP Xeons with a minor hardware tweak that EVGA does/did to the motherboards.  There are a good amount of the 1.0 boards that supported the -EP Xeons out of the box, but yes, the early early ones did not.

Frankly, if you have a 1.0 revision board, it can't hurt to try it.  If it doesn't work, EVGA will likely help you out with a sudo-RMA.  What they did in the past was have you ship your board in, they do the modification to the board, and ship you your board right back.  That way you don't have to have the worry about getting a recertified board.
