Vlada011 Yes ASUS didn't screw their customers, GTX780 DCII have Samsung chips. But next time someone from you who now get Samsung will be in mine position. I can't explain some people open topics, they leave EVGA, never again EVGA, they are disappointed, goodbay EVGA, ..etc talk on 10 forums bad things about EVGA for much smaller problem than this with Classified and worse video memory on market on some models. I never say something like that, but I feel very bad and I simply can't forgive this,... I can't... this is too much... but I try to finish that on different way to save money and cross on Ti. Before few days I saw Dominator Platinum with old price only 3 pack in Serbia, I hurry to borrow money only to avoid to spend mine money because save for damn Classified Ti. But I have feeling they are people not aware at all how their movement is low punch and bad, and what someone people do to find their premium card and that is worse thing for future and for people who need to count on them.
Yes of course they should have stopped production because of a memory suppliers. That doesn't make sense. Someone can correct me here but I believe GTX 780 DCII were also made with Elpida memory for a period of time.

Only better planing and nothing more. I feel ASUS have Samsung supplies for next 5 years and Hynix as reserve. What and Hynix and Samsung no memory in same time for next 3 months. That is not true, simply. They had Hynix and for lower models, they could put at least that. They couldn't sell and earn so much Classified with Elpida for short time as loss in next years because bad experience and disappointed people. You will see next years when people start to joke...What Classified, again with Elpida or not and similar things on forums over world. You will know when open box. Somewhere people have no such strong support from EVGA as in USA, for them only one small things can make decision between ROG board and EVGA board,ROG card or EVGA card or Lightening. You think EVGA support is on whole planet best, I would play now on Ti with ASUS. With them I can back, refund, pay plus money same as you with EVGA, and whole Western Balkan and whole Russia, and whole ASIA. You don't need papers, box, bill nothing you can send card in box from McDonalds on RMA only with serial number they see immediately how long you have warranty. I can buy on Cuba to use in Serbia and send to Taiwan for RMA without problem, without any paper, registration, anything, only hardware in box of anything not damaged with visible serial number, some of you live in illusion EVGA is everywhere as in USA. That is not true, people in Europe and in small countries if we look on that way are much bigger fans of EVGA. They do something what normal American never think to do for some brands.

Yeah, they should have planned for the fire that disrupted the supply of Hynix memory and Samsung's memory supply issues. Frankly all this complaining over the same thing is getting tiresome and pointless. What I think doesn't matter. The facts of what actually happened do. It was use Elpida or delay production. If it was your business, what would you do?

I would stop production of Classified, other continue. Without any second of thinking stop or delay or drop price anything what I decide with directors. You can be completely sure and every normal respectable company would make same, no matter they make shoes or jeans they will stop production not with cheaper materials because that can destroy Armani, Nike, Replay and others... Because next 10 years all customer don't need to fear what will find in premium box.

No you wouldn't. That makes no sense at all to lose money for no reason than some folks like to complain over nothing. Your added edit makes it clear you've never ran a company.

I swear you in eyes for premium class for overclockers I would make decision only what to do to stop shipping completely or to say to customers what happen and drop price on reference models.I swear you in everything, I can't earn on half of one series how much I can lose in next years. Only one disappointed customer can transfer that on 10-20 others, that know everybody. Bad voice travel far. But we talk not for whole series, we talk only about premium model with EVBot connector prepared for overclockers, with marketing for them. I don't want to lose that with 1000 cards. For other normal continue production with replaced memory. And other manufacturer have cheaper for reference because of that some customer wait and pay bigger price for others. I payed mine card 200$ more than most of you who have Samsung. And than someone can think he is bigger fan. I do such things to find EVGA, 1% of customer maybe could do same. 1%... They destroyed own motto "No compromise..." Only look when something new show up, maybe few of us are ready to wait 2-3-5 months more for EVGA, other say... If they not launch for one week I will buy ASUS, I will buy MSI and go to other brands. Only rear is ready to wait how long need before EVGA launch their series. Never mind I can't talk any more only I became nervous...

eduncan911 Moderator note: Is it safe to post BIOS files here at EVGA? I know we usually do it over at OCN. Didn't see rules about it here.
Sajin If you don't have Samsung memory Hynix is the next best followed by Elpida.
As I mentioned earlier, I have first-hand experience (instead of rumors) to see it most likely is the BIOS revisions - not memory type. Yes, the BIOS that came with the Elpida versions sucks. So, flash the 3rd revision of the BIOS that came with mine: v80.80.21.01.80 GPU-Z Validation: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/9nh8k/ Download: http://eduncan911.com/downloads/EVGAGTX780CLASSIFIED-80.80.21.01.80.zip Ignore the difference in the GPU-Z link and XX.XX.XX.00.XX and XX.XX.XX.01.XX that you might see. Those are the NORMAL and LN2 BIOSes files as needed. Or, even a newer 4th revision that Jacob posted over at OCN: http://www.overclock.net/t/1411500/official-evga-classified-owners-club/3260_20#post_21093957 Instructions on how to flash are in the first post: http://www.overclock.net/t/1411500/official-evga-classified-owners-club/3400_20 BACKUP your BIOS first (both BIOS files). You'll need to flash it back, and set nvflash --protecton, if you want to send it in for warranty/exchange/etc. Point being: don't knock Elpida until you do your homework and flash some BIOS files that may give you better memory overclocks. Doing this I was able to go to 7,400 on stock voltage on a friend's Elpida memory card.
It's not possible to flash card with 80.10.3A.01.82 Elpida with 80.80.21.01.80 BIOS. That's not possible, you can flash with some of skynet BIOS but with these BIOS not.

And look what have mine little EVGA GTX580 Fermi (stock). I now check to see... Do you know when you have card and from plane you feel how she is stable and you have confidence in here. But that is most because card, less because memory manufacturer. I didn't know they put Samsung on stock models GTX580. People chase me to sell them this card, they can dream only. Guys who sell me after that open store in Belgrade and import EVGA and CORSAIR hardware.

It should not effect SLI at all but you may see different bios numbers, and overclocking memory may be slightly different. That should be the only place you see any effects at all though. The different bios numbers won't hurt anything, so don't be fooled by them.
