No response on this yet?  I see you changed the yoyo team name.  I've been trying to add MilkyWay but the server seems to be down alot lately....

I have not heard back yet. I'm not sure if we will hear back today or not. I just moved over uFluids and Spinhenge.

Cool, sounds like we are making great progress towards a unified team!

I see the yoyo stats are the first to show up on our DC Vault page:
http://www.dc-vault.com/showteam.php?team=539

I'll email russkris and ask him to manually add our Folding@Home team since its name won't match.

I'm now seeing MilkyWay in the DC team, about half of the team shows activity in the last day or so.  If there were only a few, I would say to scrap it and just go with a new team instead of changing the name.  But I think about half is enough to keep it and try to get a name change....

I got a PM from InfiniteKills this morning. He said he had removed the team which I think probably means at the boinc-wide level. However, since some teams are still setup at the project-level, I asked him if he has control over those teams individually to see if we can rename some of them.

Awesome....  Question with the Vault, does it auto-populate the teams we have with the same name or do we have to request those?  I know MilkyWay won't show up for some time with it being down for maintenance and everything, but are we gonna have to ask to have the others added or will it be done automatically?

My understanding from what Rusty said earlier was that names that are an EXACT match (probably meaning it's case sensitive) will auto-populate.  I believe that to be true since yoyo@home showed up after LR changed it.  However, I need to check with him anyway since our WCG team isn't showing up now even though the team name has made it to KRUNCH's sigs, so I can confirm.

I've been thinking some more about the projects and team setup. I was thinking that for those teams that have minimal to no activity that we could setup a new team for Crunching@EVGA. For the ones with reasonable activity or significant amount of points, we can hold off to see if a rename is possible. These are the ones that seem to have some activity:

Einstein@Home, PrimeGrid, DistRTGen

Additionally, these ones have a million points or more with minimal activity:

Collatz Conjecture, GPU Grid, Aqua@Home

Aqua@Home is EOL so we won't be able to do anything with this project.

For the rest of the active projects, I am thinking we can setup a new team name. What do you guys think?

I was thinking along the same lines last night.  Certainly we don't want to abandon points if not absolutely necessary.  However, in the cases where there is a DC@EVGA name with few or no points (Docking@Home is one I saw with the name but no members or points), there is a slight risk of confusion if both names exist.  We don't want someone to accidentally join under the old name.  That was the only reason I saw to not go ahead and create the new name for that project right then.

I was thinking about this more....  With pretty much everyone here participating in WCG, are we going to have any activity in the next few days to warrant creating the teams right now?  I've set everything to not get any tasks and I only have two yoyo tasks still running and we have a team for it already.

I'm only thinking if we create them now and there's no points activity, they can't be added to the Vault yet and then what's the rush right now?  I could always set my laptop to run everything again but at 1.8GHz and only two threads, it takes forever....

Unless we want to go ahead and set them up for testing before everyone starts everything back up after the WCG challenge.... We want it up for sure before we start any big membership drives....

As old EVGA teams get removed, or made new for some of the projects which them already exist (such as prime and GPUGrid) could we get a heads up.  Currently set the team to DC@EVGA for those projects (hoping then name can just be switched and points carried over) and if a new team is made i need to know to switch over lol.

We'll let it be known, I'm waiting on the same thing for quite a few of the DC@EVGA teams.  We're working on the issue trying to get them renamed  before we just go and create new teams....
