I think the way the EVGA shop sell items is a tad archaic. The stock is also very minimal it's rather frustrating. Why not make more stock to fulfill demand? Why not allow pre-orders so you know how much demand there is and so that customers can be placed in a queue and not a lottery?

FRUSTRATED!

A good amount of people who are ordering this version are ordering more than one because the people with the custom loops are also a lot of the times the people who SLI. I think this contributes a lot to why they are going so fast. I agree that they probably should have the pre-order queue thing like most other shopping sites but i'll also admit I'm glad they don't (the reason being that it means i still have at least a slight chance to grab one without waiting a whole month)

You have zero chance because ebayers are using purchasing bots to camp and buy the moment they are available.

Just search ebay for "EVGA 980 TI Hydro" and see what comes up

EVGA is not guilty, they would like to sell 10.000 Hybrid coolers.
Probably is problem with Asetek and unexpectedly high demands.
Asetek made and other things in same time, few CPU coolers for CORSIR, NZXT Kraken, etc...
Maybe EVGA didn't expect to people ask so much cards with Hybrid cooler ...
Probably manufacturer made that in series and need some time to finish that.

my thoughts exactly, I just did the conversion and 750 euros would only be $830 which isn't really that much more

Ummm £750 not euros.. Do you now what £ sign is? It means POUNDS! £750 is $1,172.19. Where has the education gone these days? How do you NOT KNOW THIS?

Now you've been educated do you STILL think "not that much more"?

Edit - Sorry for my tone. It's just frustrating me. I have all my components here ready for my watercooling build and I have yet to get the most fundamental parts. The GPU's!

I think the main reason why the supply is so low is the cooler part, mashining it takes some amount of time and you only have so many mashines you can work on since it doesn't make sense from a business point of view to get out some copper coolers faster if the demand will remain roughly the same even with some waiting time if one mashine costs you about 250000$ (just some random number theres cheaper ones but also ones that are way more expensive). The only solution would be to order from more suppliers and then youd have to pay more since youd have to order a smaller amount from each of them. So maybe it cheers you up a bit that waiting makes your new card cost less :)

It won't cost less though. I will pay the same amount if not more... unless I wait to build when pascal comes out, which means it'll be time for my next build by then! The fact EVGA gave cards to overclockers over their own site too makes me angry. They knowingly sold the cards to a company that is selling them on for a £130 profit on each card. That's £130 more than they SHOULD be selling for... so I'm estimating OCUK are probably making around 200-300 POUNDS on each card. That's almost $400. I bet you don't get this kind of rubbish in the states!

Yeah sorry that was dumb of me, I actually did think of that and thought about looking it up (because I wasn't sure) but then I said eh whatever, and I figured that was why you seemed angry because this whole thing is very frustrating indeed.

I'm almost tempted to just say screw it and buy the super clocked version and buy the water block separate. I know it wouldn't come with a back plate and would be clocked a little slower but at least I'd get it for sure and I am going to be over clocking this card even further anyways not to mention back plates aren't really my top priority. But then after thinking that I think about how nice it would be to just get it all in one package... decisions decisions

Edit- is the water block on the hydro just a EK-FC Titan X block with the EVGA logo thing on top of it? actually better question is it just the EVGA Titan X water block? because that is just the EK-FC water block with a cover on it.

I think it is so i'm just going to go out and buy the normal superclocked version from micro center and get the cooler seperate, impatience wins again.

Might be better off buying a stock cheap Ti and overclocking it to what you want. You're watercooling it so should meet the Hydro spec easily enough.

I just don't want to bother with blocks for the cards. I've got a this rigid tubing to worry about, so one less issue to sort would be nice!

Honestly dude, stop whining that you cannot get your GPU(s) ASAP. The cards are recently released and it takes time, plus they need blocks from EK.
Theres nothing wrong with EVGA's store.

If you WANT the hydrocoppers so badly why not just get the SC and some blocks? Virtually the same cost. Does not void warranty etc...
That is EXACTLY what I did because I did not want to play the refresh game for the hydrocoppers.
The Hydrocoppers have popped on the storefront a few times in the last few weeks.
A few people on OCN have gotten them.

YES Titan blocks are the same!
In case you do not know, EK makes some sweet backplates that will go great with their blocks.
I have just ordered two EK blocks and backplates for my two 980ti's that just came in the mail mere hours ago.

Might be better off buying a stock cheap Ti and overclocking it to what you want. You're watercooling it so should meet the Hydro spec easily enough.

I just don't want to bother with blocks for the cards. I've got a this rigid tubing to worry about, so one less issue to sort would be nice!

Well the super clocked one I'm gonna get is the one with the stock cooler and it's only like $20 more so why not, that paired with the EK Acetal + Nickel Titan X water block should be pretty much the same as the hydro. Plus I'm hoping that the slight overclocked one will be at least slightly of better quality than a stock one. We'll see though. I've been wanting to do one of those for a while but i just don't have the time. Well I hope you get your card the next time they come available, goodluck.

People on this forum need to stop thinking the world ends at the U.S. Borders... Here in the UK there is a big difference in price between the normal stock 980Ti and the SC version...
