Purchased Fallout New Vegas during midnight release, i have played about 15 hours playtime.

This is the best single player game i have played, the story is better then Fallout 3, the graphics are on the same engine, but everything looks better/clearer now, the models and textures are improved. But mainly, the story is not repatative and boring,  the quests have you doing different things. They took alot from fallout 3, with familiar things if you played such as scraps, some guns, and a few basic things, and everything else is different, including buildings/houses/ the sky , the Terran. They also added effects like desert winds, fog, steam ect, it looks quite nice. Everyone you talk to in the game has dialog and a voice,  the world is quite large.. i am not even close to exploring it all + or doing the quests.

I eventually made it to the Vegas Strip ( i could have gone/made it earlier, but there is so many quests i wanted to finish first) so far i am having a blast, im at the point where i dont even want to share or write this review... i would rather be playing =)

I would like to say.. its quite sad to see it get on the pirate list the first day, this is one of the better games out, i highly suggest you buy it and support the great game/hard work they did. I know not all games deserve that but this one definitely does.. I'm not even close to finishing it yet there is so many things to do!

The only disappointing thing in the game is they is high overall gore and non censorship.. but when it comes to the strippers? its like GTA with the tape >.<? This is Vegas baby... no tape please! -haha ;) its not a big deal obviously, but things like that annoy me, especially when you can blow peoples limbs off with flying parts + blood.  Another thing, sometimes the game can crash, its quite rare, but it happens, and when it crashed it ruined my auto save. (this will be fixed with patch) But can be frustrating when you did 2 quests and have to re-do.

5/5 stars from me., SS of me in the strip, if any of you are into FPS(secondP)/adventure/open world , games, then i highly recommend it.

^ voice actors are really good overall, i have not met a character that the voice did not fit well with it thus far.

They actually hired alot of famous/professional voice actors to do the voices, this is probably why they sound so good.

I just got the game, plays great on the new beta drivers, occaisonal terrain flashing but patches will fix, fps dip down to 40 or so sometimes while my gpu stays at 40% usage, this will be patched in time as well, no major bugs here, great game.

meh looks too much like the old one and I've read that there are several graphics glitches. I won't be buying this game nor will I be ***Edited by AB no "T" words allowed ***  it mostly because its not worth it. I played FO3 and it looks way to much like this one I will save my money for another game.
Edit: game reviews seem to agree that this game just "tweaks" a few things that make the game better than FO3; sorry but if I pay $50 for a game it better be a lot better than its predecessor. They should have charged $25 and marketed it as an expansion 'cause thats all it really is.

i dont understand the whole it should of been an expansion comments.
They spent a lot of time makeing new places and content for the game.
sure the graphics are simalar (new vegas looks a little cleaner i think.)
my question is where is the expected divideing line between a new game and an expansion.

is it for it to be a new game they cannont use the same graphics engine?
how about content at what point is there enough content to warrent a new game?
i can understand if it was a small expanded area of the capital wasteland but its not its an entire never before seen part of the wasteland.
last but not least gameplay. at what point does the game play need to change to make it an appropriate sequel?
new vegas plays like the first one and i like that if it had changed it would of felt weird.

It absolutely does not  look the "exact" same as fallout 3.  In my personal opinion it looks substantially  different (the towns are not the same, the characters are all different), sure there is some things from fallout 3 in the game such as materials and some guns, but they have to add those things... otherwise it would be released in 3-4 years on a new engine.
Anyways the game is bigger then fallout 3, there is nothing the same in the game... towns character models, items, and overall look of the terran/sky and effects are different, how is this the same game? Personally speaking i enjoyed fallout3 for the first few hours then i got bored.

The only downfall is the crash i have received, but this will be cleared with a patch, like any game out there... including mafia2.

Fallout new vegas is more fun then fallout3, so if you did enjoy fallout3 you will like it, if you didn't enjoy it at all then you might not.

Good review, I feel the same way about the game, I was up till 1 AM last night playing this game, that does not happen very often. Same as fallout 3 I was so hooked and into that game. I really do love this game. It is simply amazing how much it pulls me in.

I think a lot of these negative comments are silly. Who cares if the graphics are the same. I don't care about the graphics, they do not make a game. I care about the overall massive content in this game, the story, acting, everything is awesome. So if someone says there not going to buy this game because it looks just like Fallout 3, well your missing out on a great game.

How prevalent is the questionable content in the game?  I Love FO3, but if this game is too much like Mafia II and Grand Theft Auto, then I will have to pass.  I am specifically referring to nudity.  This is where I draw the line in games.  I know some don't care, but I do.  Can I simply avoid those missions, or is it part of the primary mission they way it was in Mafia II?  I quite playing Mafia II because of that.

^ There is no nudity in the game. The screen shot i showed is the most nude you get to see the whole game... a stripper with tape.
You can choose any mission you do in fallout NV, and there is no missions like mafia 2 where it tells you to go to strip join and get head ect... the worst is a mission that you rescue prostitutes from a hotel which refers nothing to sex.. or nudity lol.

Actually now that i remember, you can program a sex bot for a mission for someones hotels, and you get to try it out, as a joke (was a funny moment in the game) anyways you dont see anything with this either...

Secondly if your an adult... a cartoon nude shouldn't bother you much =) - i understand your point if you mean a game built specifically on sex, but a cartoon stripper on a pole aint gonna hurt you lol. The worst you have in this game is ghoul/human strippers in that one casino, that just dance and thats it, GTA shows more cartoon skin i suppose...But who the heck cares? its not real imo.

There is definitely a lot more to this game than there was in FO3. The amount of side missions and places to explore puts FO3 to shame. Putting the annoying bugs aside, content and choices give this game a more in depth feel.

While there is no nudity (not sure why nudity is an issue with anyone while blowing off limbs and heads, cannibalism, etc. is ok....to each their own).  Yet the one prostitute mission referenced already is damn funny, but rather suggestive (no pictures though...just a dark screen).  Same with the implied sex with a prostitute.  Just a black screen.

If sex or nudity is really an issue, the worst thing is probably the constant female pleasure moans in the background while the main character is at the Gomorrah.

Well if that is the case then, there are probably a lot of other reasons not to get the game.
