How about just doing the old standby of having Steam find and replace/repair missing files?

I get the error before I even try to play any game. As soon as I launch Steam, 'POOF' there it is. I haven't the energy to read through all of this nonsense but it isn't causing any problems other that annoying me by cluttering up my Event Viewer. https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/348293122110863080/

On top of everything else, starting last night I have been getting slammed with emails containing redirect viruses that AVG stops in their tracks. 'Tis the season...

Anybody else getting these every time they start Steam? "Failed to add firewall exception for C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Steam\bin\steamwebhelper.exe"

Been getting them for a while but forgot about them since I haven't played in so long but apparently Valve/Steam did not fix it. I added several more Firewall holes to no avail.

Everything seems to be normal for me. I'm running Symantec anti-virus which takes care of that. Been running it for what seems eons and never had issues like you are, Strange.

I ran into a problem with starting the BOS quest. Palidon Dance won't start the quest. "Check your ammo" or something like that. Anyone else run into it?

I also noticed that after all the DLC has been made available there is a difference and it doesn't feel like the old game when you start over with it all running. I'm running the same difficulty level as I did the first time around.

For those that have started over with all the DLC loaded and all the patches installed, have you noticed if your companion or you are having strange collisions? Walking through a door that has any visible object near enough to interfere with you walking through it is one example. This wasn't an issue before the second time around.

This is the very last reply in that thread I posted above:

"I did a clean format with my pc and only steam installed.the problem is still there whenever i login my account but my friends account the problem did not exist.I think it affects only on random accounts.Steam should do a serious fix with their program."

I read somewhere that it had to do with a file that is no longer there. IDK, but it is still annoying whether it effects random accounts or all accounts. I'm starting to think that it is a leftover fragment of a beta version of some game that did not uninstall properly. I should create a System Image and find Steam or Valve in my REGEDIT utility and look for something fishy and then delete the entry to see if it fixes the problem. If things go haywire I can just restore the System Image and start over again.

Colette is still hugging the dirt in Diamond City. Someone keeps putting Road Leathers on her no matter how many times I loot her corpse. I think it's a corpse. Maybe she's just all tuckered out and needs her sleep.
