I hate nuka grenades.  At least when they get tossed at me.

And I don't have a problem with limited space when naming my weapons and armor.  At least not anymore.   But yes, I can sympathize.  Because Skyrim never really solved that issue and pre-modded Fallout 4 limited me as well.

Amen to that, LOL

Then there is the enemy that appears outside of the Starlight Drive In every couple of in game days. Most of the time it is Rusty and computer friends. Keep in mind that the drive in only has a provioioner staying there and is not a designated settlement yet. I'm staying away from Garvey for now. LOL

Anyone run into "SWAN"? I kept seeing the signs regarding SWAN in both the previous game as well as this one, but this current game I did run into it. WOW!!!! For those who have not and are still playing the game I won't say any more about it.

Ducky,
I had to join the RR because there is a certain tech I want and you have to join to get it. After that it will be back to normal.

I was forced to secure a settlement from hostiles in the process so I had to start building as well as setup a defense. A little ahead of schedule.

So far the Drive In is not an official settlement and the hostiles are still coming about every 2 in game days which keeps me in caps and some resources for building. I will have to monitor that more closely as I have another "official" settlement now and am curious if this will spread the hostile visits between what I currently have and am working on.

I haven't run into any BOS yet but they are coming. LOL

RR is good for the Ballistic Weave recipe, I think. SWAN was a nasty bugger. Cait and I made short work of him using a Mini-Nuke launcher call "Big Boy" or something like that. Lure him out and drop mines while retreating is always fun for the whole family too.

Would that be yours and Cait's family or SWAN'S?

That's why I joined the RR. I want that weave.

Yeah Swan can be really nasty.   I took him down with a really big sniper rifle while my companion volunteered as a punching bag.

I restarted because I didn't fully exploit all the possibilities available from the separate factions.  I plan to milk each faction for all their worth right up to the very end.    Although I am a bit displeased by how Bethesda handles it.

I milked it for all that it's worth. The only thing I haven't done yet is go to war with the BOS. If I talk to the captian of the Prydwen again he'll send me to kill the RR at their headquarters. I think if I rescue the RR and kill the BOS we steal a Vertibird and blow up the BOS airship. One time instead of fast traveling I walked back to RR HQ and they got mad and I was suiddenly at was with the RR. Tempermental bunch of fools since they're only a pack of featherweights. Mama Murphy could kick their butt.

Anyone else having issues starting FO 4 after the latest download? I'm unable to get into FO 4 after this patch.

No.   I tried doing a rollback to 1.7.22 due to mod compatibility, but that didn't work this time for some reason, so I had to keep the 1.8 update.

And what was up with the forums last night?  I tried to post this same message last night and couldn't.  It was like the forums were locked up.

I haven't tried any gaming yet. I've been stable at 4.8 GHz and 1.225v so far doing everything else. I thought I might go for the Golden 5.0 GHz first.

I tried to get back into the forums and was denied entrance also. Read = yes. Write = no.

I did manage to get back into FO 4 in the end. All is well at this time.

Nick Valentine is a much better swimmer but to be fair about it he was swimming in that thick fog in Far Harbor. Anyway, you have any thoughts on 'Dishonored 2'? Green Man Gaming sent me a voucher for 47% off but IDK if it's worth buying or whether it is a First Person or Third Person game.

Nick is full of holes, no resistance, so he should be a better swimmer.

I have not played Dishonored and therefore am not able to comment on it.

I was just watching someone playing Dishonored 2 on Twitch and I thought it was pretty lame. The game kept pausing with a spinning cursor every time they went through a doorway or something. I might change my mind later but for now, uh-uh! I have Titanfall2 to keep me busy for a while. I am just plain tired of this one for now. I see arrows on my map telling me to find the hidden Cappy here or there and I don't see it anywhere. I give up on this senseless nonsense for now.

I have to ask. What is this "Cappy" you're referring too?

I just downloaded a Ducky recommendation. The longer power line mod.

This is a 'hidden' Cappy which can only be seen if you're wearing your special, corny looking, geekish Cappy glasses.

Anyone know if it is possible to add poison resistance to armor? I have seen with some armor that there is an empty slot with a water drop looking icon in the stats section for that piece.

There is a way to add it to power armor.  But Im not sure about body armor, I think there might be some legendary stats that adds some poison resistance.  (requires mods)

Legendary Modifications to start and then load this one and allow it to over write files from Legenday Modifications.

There is legendary armor pieces that do come with that but there are a lot of pieces that have the slot available but nothing available to fill it. That's been bugging me for sometime and I never could find anything on it.

How far are you level wise?

I got a RR quest "Concierge" that required me to eliminate 3 people in Nuka World. I didn't want to go there. All I can say is the enemy is tough. I also need better armor and weapons. LOL

With the mod(s) I linked, you can create your own legendary item.  I.E. Add the poison resistance to what ever piece or pieces of armor you want, rather than wait to find a legendary item with poison resistance.

Im currently back to 35th level and still playing Preston's game along with gathering up suits of armor and stumbling across random places that I have never been to.

The restart for me is at level 32. And yes, it IS slower going this time around. I also stumbled across a few new areas with goodies there.

I started building a new "Tower" for the current (2) occupants but I am not making it an official settlement yet. It does however send the annoying settlement under attack message out. The first time was with a bunch of wild ghouls and they seemed a bit stronger than the usual ones. The second time was with 6 fully dressed power armored raiders with an attitude. They hit the roving doctor's caravan hard but he didn't die. Good to know.

I want to stay away from modding armor and weapons at this time unless it's the game version. More of a challenge.

Anybody else getting these every time they start Steam? "Failed to add firewall exception for C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Steam\bin\steamwebhelper.exe"

Been getting them for a while but forgot about them since I haven't played in so long but apparently Valve/Steam did not fix it. I added several more Firewall holes to no avail.

Nothing like that on my side.  I get the little Steam load bar on my initial start up, but nothing else.

Are you running a firewall that's perhaps extra sensitive?

Nah, typical Windows Firewall. Nothing special here. There are some posts about it on Steam forums but no fixes. Most common answer is that this file no longer exists and is why it is causing the error but what do I know since I am not a programmer.

How about just doing the old standby of having Steam find and replace/repair missing files?
