Chicago might be a nice place too. Anything but going into the past like all of the other games. I'm still going to wait for Far Cry 5 because I don't think Primal should count.
I am surprised that the Alien Mothership has not appeared in this game. That was kind of fun.

I had a few but got the Legendary one from one of the Bosses.

I only went as far as the water pistol match, looted his body and went exploring for a market vender to unload some of the weight. I did buy 1000 rounds of 7.62 while there. I noticed also that (at this time) none of the venders outside of Nuka World carry that ammo.

Why? Too many settlers as witnesses?

Yeah, it didn't help that capped her right in front of everybody.  But I was fed up with her attitude.

Are the settlers furious with you and attack you when in the vault?

She is a bit snooty, isn't she? I got lots of settlers in there now and don't know how to get that Vault stuff to go together. At least I made some soil plots, Mutfruit plants and water to keep them busy until I get back. I made them some more beds so they have a place to work on increasing the population. Made them some more gun turrets too for when the Raiders attack next time. Every single time I enter NukaWorld I get some alert about one of my settlements being under attack. Most of my settlements have a Defense rating over 200 so I take my time. My game glitched out on me yesterday. I couldn't Tab into my Pip-Boy or fire my weapon while Sanctuary was being attacked by Super Mutants. I only lost 1 settler anyway. Verified the Game Cache after quitting and it was fine. I reached my 400 hours too.

Do the settlers come to your vault because a beacon was activated? For me, I want to build first and then populate the Vault.

My settlement defense ratings are 150 or higher and found that if you don't get there in time you will get the "failed" message. I don't know what, if any, the negatives will be for failing the defend the settlement phase so I go and defend them.

I'm well over 700 hours in this game and still haven't finished the main quest. LOL

I don't remember ever getting awarded any XP for coming to a settlement's rescue so I take my time. My Defenses are so strong sometimes I keep wandering around and get credit for successfully helping to defend a settlement I never made it to. No XP, just a thank you...   sort of.

Chicago would be a good location for the next fallout. The university of Chicago was part of the manhattan project and home of the worlds first nuclear reactor. Would be cool to tie that into the game.

Yeah, come to think about neither I can't recall that either.  Granted you get the XP from killing what ever is invading.

But the fact that I still get urgent messages to defend some of my most heavily fortified and armed settlements is amusing.   I just pop over there to loot and clean up the bodies.

Wow... 247 hours on Borderlands 2?

I just went and checked mine.   I've only got 39 hours.  But that doesn't show the time I spent playing during my "lost and confused" days (daze?) on the XBox.

Skyrim is not that amazing of a game lol, you have like one ending... =/ only hit that much time because of a mod playthough I did =(. Fallout 3 I have over 1600hrs, the past fallouts probably about the same over the years. I have more time in the Witcher 3 than I do Skyrim.

Hahaha. I figured the Atlanta Braves would be a better choice over Chicago Cubs or Chicago White Sox. LOL.

Edit: I think Detroit would be a better choice for that "gangster vibe". There is also a lot of car history there, "Henry Ford Museum" is there too.

I don't think you do get any XP for helping in settlement defense. But I wonder what the negatives are for failing that phase because you get that message if you don't help.

I get those mysterious XP's also and I'm not close to a settlement a lot of the time. The only thing that I can think of is that there is a Provisioner close by and was attacked and beat the bad guy.

What gets me is that when I am on a quest that is long or in an area that you can't fast travel from, the defend a settlement request comes. Pain in the butt to have to repeat steps.

I did a search on the negatives regarding not defending a settlement and it will reduce the happiness level. If the happiness level drops quite a lot, the settlers will start to leave. Also, it may cause some of the settlement population to be killed.

How long did it take you to finish it? I just did the opening of it and killed the boss with the water pistol/exploding shotgun. That's about where it stopped for me at this time.

But the Braves cheat. In addition to all the teams you mention using bats, the Braves also use the Tomahawk Chop.  LOL

The way it's going in Detroit now it may not exist in the (Fallout 4) future.

Had to pull an .exe off the web to roll things back so that I could play.   One F4SE gets updated, then I'll roll things forward.

And you guys are just now getting AK-47's?  I've had them and the ammo available for 7 or 8 months now.

"Lessons in Blood" perk: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Lessons_in_Blood
This says +5% more XP but the other post I read said +10% boost in XP so I don't really know for sure. I haven't decided about the Factions yet. I am doing that quest to find a bunch of 'Star modules' to turn on the Mainframe so I can get my hands on that shiny new Power Armor behind the glass.

Update:
When you told me to bypass that NMM donation screen, I couldn't. The button to use was not showing at that time. I looked all over the place and did not see it. I have since found it and have downloaded it.

To be honest, Im not exactly sure what screen you were seeing.  I joined the Nexus right away (first as a free membership, later I paid for a lifetime membership), so I've never seen the "join us or be destroyed" screen.

What is the perk? I haven't gone back into Nuka land yet. LOL

Are you going to play along with all the factions or wipe them out?

"Lessons in Blood" perk: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Lessons_in_Blood
This says +5% more XP but the other post I read said +10% boost in XP so I don't really know for sure. I haven't decided about the Factions yet. I am doing that quest to find a bunch of 'Star modules' to turn on the Mainframe so I can get my hands on that shiny new Power Armor behind the glass.

The following is from the link you provided:

"you gain +5% more XP per kill and +10 Damage Resistance."

Based on this it is a really great bonus. I have to keep this on the front burner and go back there. Thank you.

For someone who didn't know what screen I was talking about, you nailed it. Further, your advice was good too. Thank you.
