I'm playing with different weapons now plus my Mysterious Stranger comes in handy when an enemy is hiding behind cover. Currently trying my Lorenzo's Artifact Gun. It only has a damage rating of 25 but it kills them Raiders in a single shot, two at the most, and it knocks them back aways. I have to see if I can Mod it for more power.

I'm currently taking a leisurely stroll through the Glowing Sea and finding what there is to find. Found another suit of armor out there and a bunch of glowing critters.

I had to take that walk as well.... twice. There's a lot of places to see there. You want to see those glowing creatures due to the items they may carry.

Does the mysterious stranger only appear in VATS mode? What does the Lorenzo Artifact Gun use for ammo?

I think it uses Gamma rounds. Mysterious Stranger pops up anytime anywhere and sneaks up behind my enemy and shoots him dead. Just the way he does it makes me think he used to be a Mob hitman who is currently in Witness Protection or just freelancing. LOL

Mysterious Stranger dresses a lot like Carmen Sandiego. I can't see the face so she might have been recruited by the CIA for 'wet work'.

No, I had been traveling with MacReady after I unlocked that perk and now Cait. I got me a Legendary Crippling Gauss rifle so I just blow a leg or two off and Cait finishes them off with a shotgun I gave her. We're a real team now. LOL

Yup they do and textures and lighting look more vibrant at least for me on my setup. Map is huge.

I set up a defensive tower at the Boston Airport. Not that much will happen, nor can you set up a recruiting tower to bring settlers in. So, it looks great. I'll make 2 of them at the island.
