I installed the Supernova G2 in my rig and its causing a restart or shutdown issue. Basically if I shutdown the computer the power supply tries to reboot, but then shutdown and goes into a loop. The same happens when I restart my machine.

I have checked the PSU with just the motherboard cable attached and plugged each peripheral in one at a time with none causing the issue.

It seems like something is tripping out the safety device in the PSU. I know my motherboard is fine.

The only way I can temporarily resolve the issue is to turn the switch at the rear off then back on again and then the computer reboots no problem.

I hope there is a fix for this issue.

    Hello,

definitely not normal behavior. In your motherboard bios settings what do you have the option set to for when you lose system power? Is it set to restart or power off?

Can you please also confirm that you are using no aftermarket or cables that were not included with the G2 PSU?

    Hello,

In the Power Management area of the Bios, the option for loss of power is set to power off . It is displayed as: PWRON After PWR-Fail  [OFF]
I can also confirm that the cables being used are the ones supplied with the G2 PSU.

I also checked the capacitors on my motherboard and none give any indication of a fault present.
