European Store Closed - Is this affecting EU step ups?

I've read in a couple of places now that people are being told the EU store is closed until 2017, and all products are currently marked with "Auto-Notify" rather than any availability.
 
Just out of curiosity I e-mailed support a few days ago but haven't had an answer, is this store closure impacting on the step up queue for EU?
 
I'm still happily waiting for my 1080 SC, just curious if it'll be held off until the new year now given the closure :)

    Hello Skarlen,

    I can confirm that the Step Up program and RMA's will not be effected by the store closure. Your Step up will process as normal.
