375.70 WHQL drivers are causing work units to fail. Roll back driver to an older ver. if you're using this driver.

So, my thermal pads shipped on Halloween. My powerlink email came today, so they ought to be shipped out Monday and the thermal paste should be delivered Sunday. Can't wait to refactor my card setup.
By the way, if you load a YouTube video in chrome and pauses it, your gpu will use its boost clock while folding.

Review Advanced flag with Titan X (P) it applies to any Pascal Card. I changed mine today to use the client-type to advanced On my GTX 1080 Cards.

I haven't had a problem with my GPU using boost (even when not doing the YouTube trick)
That is Bummer that you need Chrome to boot your card.

Well, my card seems stuck at 1721mhz unless I use kboost mode or do the YouTube trick.

I am using OCX to run mine between 2025 and 2088. I am Not overclocking the GPU Memory or increasing the Voltage at all only the GPU Clock. Changed my Post above. Also Advanced flag with Titan X (P) has some good reading if you have a Pascal Graphics Card.

Hopefully the updated thermal pads and a change of thermal past will pull the Temps down far enough for a better overclock.

I see, yes I see some Project do reduce down to 1999, I also notice that when they do my Temps jump to 80-82C And thanks for that other fix posted on the TZC Thread.

At 73 thru 75 degrees I can maintain a 1999Mhz clock speed, any higher and it starts dropping from there. My paste comes in Sunday via Amazon prime and the thermalpadmod just came today. So Sunday night I get the joy of rearranging my card slots and breaking down my 1080ftw and reassembling it. Then to reconfigure my folding client.

I'm sorry to report my system has reached temp equilibrium, thud my 1080 is only clocking 1987Mhz down from 2025Mhz. Sadly when the GPU temp reaches 78 degrees the clocks drop. That pesky 970 just won't let it breathe as it stays toasty below 70 when it's running solo. 14 units turned in so far on the 1080FTW with 0 failed. The 970 turned in 6. I did have to start the running at 7:30pm 10/31 EST, so some of them might not have accrued to the challenge.
Should be a good challenge.
sounds to me like you need to swap positions. put the 1080 on bottom for maximum airflow and let the 970 thermal down a bit instead.
Now it's reversed. The 970 can't breathe as well so it wants to drop 100Mhz or more off the clock speed. The fans can spin faster and bring it back up, but that does make the computer area a bit too loud. Does any one know if the updated BIOS for the FTW cards allows for a higher fan speed, currently it tops out at 2800rpm give or take and a few hundred more rims wouldn't hurt.

Depends on how you count. There are some who plumb forgot to fold and other poor souls who only have 27 points somehow. You still have a respectable contribution and even the 27 are points accepted gladly.

Its hard to upgrade when a 770 still plays all games close to max . Only reason I got a 980ti to fold on was bucks paid for all but $75 of it . Its funny I paid more for a used replacement 770 then I did for the 980ti . You fold what you got Tank no one can ask more if not for bucks I would be folding on 1 770 hydro and the 770 classy soon to be a hydro .

I do remember having 4gpu clients and a CPU client and just getting 20,000 ppd. Then Bigadv's came out, my 980x kicked butt on those for a while. I guess it's all relative, Stanford was smart doing a point system that doesn't really matter, were competitive and will drop crazy money for points. Yes we do it to help but without the point system most wouldn't stay.
