Been using the Beta driver myself because it is sweet with folding. Guess I have to wait until the contest is over to update most of my rigs with the WHQL version. I think I'll pause my 590s right now for a driver update.

It's just the one rig, and the GPUs are all at around 10% complete right now, so no worries. @Coresair, from about 265.xx on there were problems with folding support and some cards would downclock on even earlier ones. All seems to have been worked out in 285.XX. The current one found at nvidia in 285.62. It has been linked in the 500 series section. I'll be back soon.

Ah ok, I have the beta drivers from the BF3 beta anyways, so I should be good. Another thing, is it me or do the huge adv-method GPU3 WUs require much less CPU usage? I switched on adv-methods for my GPUs and Bigadv for my cpu when I switched over, and noticed my gpus were pushing very high temperatures with these 5k point WUs, but I also was getting ~35k PPD on my proc. I switched back to the ~1.3k WUs since I started to fail the bigger ones and lost 13k ppd on my SMP  . Needless to say I have switched back to the big ones at slightly less aggressive clock speeds, and bigadv PPD is back up to 30k... Am I going crazy or are there actually good things about the huge WUs?

Ok just updated the drive on a fresh install of windows 7 once again. I guess well see if this works.

Yeah, those big wu for GPUs do seem to use more card resources and less CPU resources.
And new drivers are up and running on my main rig.

the one in general doesnt work, steam is a ghosttown and i feel wierd talking in ts3 not knowing anyone that closely.

just brought all 3 580's online and my i7 running smp - 6 for est , to bad i can only run the cards over night , but imma do all i can with this crazy weather we having right now and a computer that dumps more heat than most space heaters

true, what's simple for a Linux power user is mumbo jumbo to a windows power user I'll see if I can find those patches I used even still compiling wine from source will be better the using a pak. I'll get on it later this week after I finishes set up my backup/htcp system I have to install a lot of games and copy over a lot of moves to it it should not take more then 2~3 days to set that up

darn,
waited all year for BF3,and the TZC is going on.well i cheated,i shut down folding for 30 min and played BF3.now its back to folding.how long is the challenge?
