Publisher Bohemia Interactive has revealed that DayZ, the cult-hit, open-world zombie survival game, has attracted more than three million sales since its debut on Steam's Early Access platform.

DayZ arrives at this milestone only a year after reaching Early Access. Despite pragmatic warnings from DayZ creator Dean "Rocket" Hall that the Early Access version of DayZ is incomplete, the game was an immediate hit, selling over a million copies in its first month, owing largely to the cult following it attracted in its original incarnation: a modification for Bohemia's ArmA 2 first-person military sim.

Nope, game is garbage. Takes them forever just to implement useless things when they need to fix core issues. The mods are way ahead of the official DayZ game. Even Arma 3 Epoch is way ahead of it in terms of features, performance, etc..

I'm playing too. But not as often since I can't convince a friend of mine to buy it too.

Hiked 30 minutes to meet up with a friend, not seeing a single zombie, trying to discern Cyrillic characters to be killed by a zombie that spawned in literally in front of me who was completely invulnerable to any of my attacks. First time I played it was the last. Never again. The friend I was meeting died 20 minutes later stepping off a porch. About a 2 foot drop.

This is one game I seriously even wasting money on. Had it over a year and here it sits, just as terrible as it was. Not to mention being riddled with hackers and not a single thing done to them. Absolutely an absurd waste of money.

The lack of zombies is why I give the game a 1/10. Why. Why are there no zombies in an open world ZOMBIE survival game?

    My Laptop (GE63VR-7RF):
    -7700HQ.
    -16GB RAM.
    -GTX 1070.
    -128GB SSD.
    -1X 1TB 7200 spinny drive.

If you walk into a city that has few to no zombies and few to no players in it, then you are walking in a city that has one or more snipers camping it and shooting anything that moves. I've learned my lesson with big cities in DayZ and I am staying away from them.

Yep. In the mod though even running around in the woods sometimes you will see zombies, and prior to all the stupid updates every single town would have at least 10-15 zombies. I'm very sad how downhill the game has gone :/....
