I'm not sure if this is normal as I have yet to hear this upon owning this psu, or I entirely disregarded it.

I know when powering down there is a relay between the psu that clicks.
This is not the issue.
When Powering on the PSU there is a series of clicks.
These clicks do not continue after about 1-2seconds and do not start up at all with my PC on.
The pc has no problem booting and no issue at all with waking from sleep or keeping power. I've also had no problems with power outages in my house as of now when i've had the psu, nor have i had my pc randomly shut down.

The clicks are very brief, I initially thought my corsair watercooler was dying as I've had it for quite a while. It initially sounded like something was vibrating in my case.
I then narrowed it down to my psu making a really abrupt clicking noise
As far as I can tell nothing is disrupting the fan, or caught in it.

I've taken a video for details.
The first two clicks is my Power Button.
At 0:04-0:05 seconds.

After that there is rattle. and than you hear my fans on my computer spin up.

If the video you made of the sound is on youtube, just post the last part watch?v=1234567890. All someone has to do then is to add https://www.youtube.com/ to the front of it to watch it.

    Hello,

that sound you're hearing is most likely the voltage regulator turning on and off during that short period of time.

Are you able to test your 850 GS on another system? There is a 50/50 chance that the voltage regulator is being tripped by something that is connected to the PSU by either a small short or grounding issue.

    Please let us know.

Did you have a chance to complete this testing? Was the noise still occurring with only the 24 pin and jumper connected?

I did, it was quite late so i went to sleep after.
The noise was less faint. You could hear something turning on in the psu, which infelt would be quite normal. The more things i hooked to it, the louder the noise got.
Again this noise doesnt continue after the system powers on for about 1 or 2 seconds.
So maybe this is just normal?
