Calm down, Type normal, and people will help.  Also, cursing/swearing isn't allowed. you have 1 post, meaning you came here to complain when there are people here to help, but with a bad attitude, you are going to find people just act very rude just like you are.

Now, What Bios are you on?  When did you update?  Did you set everything to stock BEFORE the update?

Calmly reply, and stop typing in caps, or you will get no more help more than likely.

Could you reset everything to stock, and try reflashing the BIOS?  Also, do you have one of the switches still on stock BIOS? If so, don't update that one just yet.

Do you happen to have one of the Previous BIOS downloaded and saved, or is it a brand new board? You may want to call tech support, as they are there 24 hours, and see if you can grab another BIOS to try out as well.

You don't mention your temperatures at all.  How closely are you monitoring them?  I know they added the "improved TIM" into the 4790k, but they forgot to remove the bubbles in them sometimes, so one of the cores would get blazing hot as it had nothing to make direct contact with the die, and there for caused a lot of issues.  if you aren't monitoring your temperatures, I highly suggest you do so while running any updates.

    Did you Activate Windows?
Have you told Windows 8.1 not to update hardware drivers in Windows Update.
Have you installed ONLY Recommended updates?
Did you install all the Driver so that Device Manager shows NO Yellow?
    What shows in Event Viewer?
How much Memory do you have installed?
What Other Software have you installed?
What other Hardware have you Installed?
Are all your Drivers form the OEM or are you installing non-OEM Drivers?
Have you Tested your Memory ALL of your Memory?
    Have you Tested your CPU?
Did you leave a Disk in your DVD Player?
    As Scarlet-Tech has said above Hold your Red Button on your Motherboard for 3 to 4 seconds and then use F1 to enter the Bios;
    Is all your Memory showing?
    Is your GPU Showing?
Load Only the Optimized Settings for your Bios re-boot and enter the Bios and ONLY TURN Off Features that you Will Not or Do Not Use.
You do have three (3) Bios to select form.
After you updated the Bios did you TURN OFF your computer or only restart your computer.
You MUST POWER OFF YOUR COMPUTER after you Update Your Bios.

Are you running 60c at stock settings!? If so, that is bad! Are you using the Intel cooler or did you get your own? If so, which did you get.

If using the stock cooler you shouldn't be overclocking at all, especially if you are we ready at 60 on stock.

Have you checked your memory voltages to make sure that they're set correctly?  As for a misbehaving motherboard I feel your pain as my z87 ftw is problematic as well.

I found out that the PCIE_x4_1 with a SoundBlaster 3D Recon PCIE installed was causing the freezing and hanging. removing the card from that slot solve the problem. tested on both window 7 and window 8.1, it longer hang still evga needs to take a look at why its happening and if its the motherboard at fault. for $200 I expect the motherboard to fully work specially when its new!

It's more an Creative issue. The drivers has serious issue. The Recon card most not share any IRQ with any other card or you could end up with problems you have described.
Try to move the Recon card to Another PCI-e slot. Have you disable thoose extra feature such as onboard sound card and Marvell SATA port in BIOS?
Try to disable them if you're not using them to free up resources.
I know, it's back to the old times plug 'n prey but Creative has thoose issue with combination of cards and resources.

Lazy or not Lazy. That's not a question.

+1  Part of why I stopped using SoundBlaster products over 10 years ago.
This is a 100% SoundBlaster Driver issue with newer Motherboards.
Never Install a SoundBlaster PCIe Card in a Shared PCIe Slot.
If users listed ALL of the hardware they have installed it would help fix issues much faster.

You should Uninstall the Drivers of a card before you move on your Motherboard.
