So this is my first Computer Build and I have been having multiple error codes on the Motherboard that I have gotten past and not I am finally able to get onto the BIOS and have a signal on the screen. However I am still receiving a Error 62 on boot up. And when I am attempting to install Windows 8 Operating System I recieve the following message in "Step 1" of the install:

"A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or Hard Disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now.

Note: if the installation media for Windows is in the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

I am trying to determine if the Error 62 (Installation of South Bridge Runtime Services) is related to this error (I am unsure as to what this error actually means). After speaking with Microsoft they said that I am missing drivers on my Disc Drive or SSD. So am I going to need to plug my Disc Drive into a different computer install the drivers and then plug it back into my new build?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have your SSD plugged into a native Intel SATA port or one of the non-native controller's SATA ports?

you might need to update your bios, if you have another computer or a laptop download the new bios and make it bootable on a usb thumb-drive if you go to the bios section on the forum under the motherboards model there is a guide on how to update the bios. good luck

I have it plugged into the Intel I:0/1 port. Not the Marvel (I think that is what you are asking)

And I will download the new BIOS update after work tonight and see if that fixes it, thanks.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to, you may also want to try unplugging the 3TB drives as well until Windows is installed, if you haven't done so already. Good luck.

I believe you're receiving error code 62 as you have no video cards installed into the system.

As for the error you receive when trying to install windows. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2755139
Other causes: Motherboard BIOS needs a update. SSD isn't being detected. SSD needs a special driver to be loaded before it can be seen, formatted & used.
