Will the Z68 boards have the new features you listed for the X79 boards, such as the revised layout, new button placement, pure flat caps? Or do they follow the P67 boards' design? Thank you.

They will follow P67.

I don't  think so - they got the same board layout and basic like the P67..
May be you should wait for socket 2011 / SB-E boards. ;)

Approx mid August. Boards will be similar to the current P67 lineup.


im really looking forward to this board and since will be similar to the p67 FTW  there no doubt  it will be awesome

I got my Z68 board back in May and it's great with a few scant exceptions over EVGA. I'll be passing on this and waiting for X79... I want the motherlode!
 
Still, I'm glad they're finally getting around to releasing the Z68s!

The only problem with step up is no cross shipping. So, how long can you be without your current MB?

Since you said that the P67 qualifies for a step up what about all of us who had the first batch of P67 that we had to RMA.  I am unable to step-up due to the first batch of boards being defective because of the who setting the vcore to manual.  Is there a way for us to still be able to do this since there wan an issue with the P67s right out of the gate?

Nope, mine still says product is not available for Step-Up since it is involved in a RMA not sure if this is due to me because I had to send my my original RMA back and get a 2nd RMA board due to the first RMA that I was sent the CF slot was damaged.  Any input on this would be appreciated.
