Still no love for Corsair ram at XMP1 (3000)

also Intel 750 is no longer recognized in PCIe lane 5 (even with Ram set to auto) I have Windows 10 installed on it.

had to revert back to 1.04 to write this.

EDIT: I tried 1.05 again. The machine restarts itself three times after the firmware update process.
My 750 is recognized now without me messing with the Ram ..But, I really want to utilize this expensive Ram I bought, please help.

Could we please be provided with steps for how to install the appropriate drivers after windows 7 has been installed, and when to change the bios setting that enables the windows 7 install to use keyboard and mouse.  The option in bios clearly states that it should be disabled after the driver is installed.  I ask for this info because last time I tried to install the USB3.0 driver, after win 7 was installed, I lost keyboard and mouse, even after rebooting in safe mode, regardless of bios settings (tried both).  This required a full re-install of window to repair!

FYI for other users:  I had to clear the CMOS to get the system to boot up, the first time, after flashing the BIOS.

Problem was, I think, that I tried installing the driver, using the Device Manager.  Instead, run this executable version of the driver, to install it (called in to tech support, who recommended this one):
FYI:  I still lost mouse and keyboard, when the driver installed, but only for a few seconds.  Then everything came back, and started working properly.

I'm running the same ram on a z170 Ftw, although I'm using the 4gb x 4 dimms, not the 8gb.

I had a lot of problems with 1.04, but going from 1.03 to 1.05 seems to be working very well so far. I'll come back and update again if anything worth mentioning happens.

you won't. I think looking at the screen shots in this thread is as close as you're going to get http://forums.evga.com/EV...ng-Guide-m2395509.aspx

There are BIOS manuals up to X99 MBs. Why not for Z170?

I have problems with the BIOS and wanted to check the BIOS manual.

Hey guys having a lot of trouble with my first build. battled with windows 10 for 3 days then decided to try windows 7. i was having the issues with no keyboard and mouse so i just tried to update my bios to 1.05 from bios mode off a usb. it seamed to work and went to restart itself but did not restart. after 20 minutes i turned it off and restarted but i am not getting anything now. my error code is 0d but its not in the manual. I am guessing i buggered up the update somehow and i am hoping there is a jumper switch or way to recover the bios. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks

The usb thumb drive needs to be in fat format ..not fat32. If pressing the cmos button on the mobo doesn't work ..switch the bios slider, on the mobo, to one of the other three slots.

I hate asking this as I feel like a noob but at the very top of the thread, Windows installation and bios installation, is that step 1 and 2 or, is that two different ways to flash bios?  have never flashed and I'm nervous.  thanks.

Hi, I'm running Win 10 64, and I just updated my BIOS from 1.03 to 1.05. Planning on dumping Win 10 for Win 7 and hoping this BIOS works better than the last, but I need to copy some files off of my OS disk and after the upgrade Windows doesn't want to boot; I just get kicked straight into the BIOS. I'm grabbing a Linux rescue image so I can do some file copying, but in the meantime how would I go about getting Windows to boot?

Edit: Nevermind, my disk boot priority had gotten lost and the BIOS was looking at the wrong drives.

the upcoming Titanfall addon wont be released anytime soon anyway

^^ the only stuff i play

I think i will pull through, until then just fine

    Dx12 = higher grass detail / resolution?

dont believe the hype, its still a stoneage die with mem chips in there (80's PCB sandwich), it takes other technologies to deliver the grand puba..

    Until then... Its your wallet

Whenever I update my Bios, I get the same thing. You need to go into the Bios, and do a Bios reset. Restart, go back into Bios, adjust your settings (CPU, Ram, etc.) then save and restart.
