I don't think will see the Z10 released this year. When asked about the Z10 keyboard on evga marketingcast, Jacob said said no update, that CES is just around the corner.

Latest info:

Z10 with Brown or Blue switches
Different versions of the Z10 keyboard

My guess is the other versions will be without evbot and without LCD screen.

Shame there's no red... So the keyboard and mouse can't match, all because some colours on the mouse are painted instead of changeable...
Changing the colours of the X10 LEDs doesn't look good because the red will always be there, whereas no red is on the keyboard...

I find myself a little disappointed, but we'll wait and see, it's not a huge problem.

I'm still waiting for this keyboard to release. I can't believe no keyboard manufacturer has ever built a mechanical with LCD screen yet. EVGA demoed this 1 year ago and it still hasn't come out... what's the hold up?

You should see this keyboard on display at CES (this week),  probably see other versions of this keyboard without the LCD screen or EVBot. You can't believe no keyboard manufacturer has ever built a mechanical kb with a LCD screen yet?

Which one would you take to display system information:1) generic LCD screen (1-3 inch calculator screen with a back light)
2) Smart phone or tablet to display system information
3) onscreen display to show temps which costs nothing (Afterburner or Precision X)

If your motherboard supports Bluetooth, you can pair it with a capable smartphone or tablet to display all the system information you want.

My guess is EVGA Z10 Keyboard (/w LCD & EVBot) will run around $160-200 MSRP.

Here i thought they would have different version of the keyboard. Guess they will just make the EVBot optional for those who don't care for it.

Did they do away with the wrist rest?

Hopefully its just removable.  Any info on pricing and what type of software suite is coming with it ? I currently use a G15 with a bunch of little apps for the lcd. Hopefully EVGA will get stuff like that on there for the keyboard

I don't expect see much software. evga will probably release sdk to where people can make apps.

It will be interesting to see how much Z10 keyboard will cost. Lots of competition in the mechanical keyboard market.

Lol Trust me the G15 has a very limited selection of apps for it. I just want to be able to have Percision going like on my G15 and basic apps like Media playback control and a clock/weather lol maybe a RSS feed i dunno nothing crazy. Logitech released their SDK and i personally haven't found any worth while third party apps.

If no one made those apps for G15, i don't see them being made for EVGA Z10.

You would probably have better luck using a smart phone or small tablet to do most of the stuff you wanted.

Yes, little screen in low resolution is bad idea when people are used on smart phones.
EVGA should build mechanical keyboards similar as WASD or CODE or Deck, only to make own fonts, logo, etc... with Cherry Blue, Brown, Red, LED lights in White color, strong build, best possible keys and they could sell many of them for 150-200$. To use best things of all of them.
People will ask more and more TKL keyboards and they should build one normal and one TKL.

Why not just build a dock into the top of the keyboard that lets any phone sit sideways and have it be a mini usb or full size usb link for it? People could write apps and evga could start it out with one official app etc... whatever the case may be.  If they don't do it someone will eventually like Razer or maybe steelseries im sure because it seems like the next step with the tech we have to integrate.

Funny you should mention it. Asus just released a pretty sweet looking mechanical keyboard with a removable dock for smart phone.
I dont understand the ridiculous delay for the release of this keyboard. At this point the only thing thats gonna spark sales at all is the EVbot option, especially since EVGA waited to be one the last manufacturers to release a mech keyboard. Asus & Logitech are gonna kill
sales for EVGA. Asus already owns +50% of the gaming monitor market why not let em have the mech. keyboard market as well. Good move EVGA

I have seen a keyboard that did come with a dock to hold a smart phone sideways. You find apps that work with bluetooth to show system information. If you wanted to do something like that on a evga motherboard you would have to buy a bluetooth PCI-E card. EVGA quit offering bluetooth support to increase profits.

Keyboard look extremely nice without holder for hand.
Than look really great. And I remove holder from my Logitech G510.

I don't want to be a peeve here... but is this really what they're going to release? It looks like the keys came off of a dell
