Hey Nate...I saw your little install piece with pictures for these awesome waterblocks for the classy (thanks for that). I finally have almost all my parts in! Yay! So the question is... After I do a burn in on everything..Do I need to prep the copper(seal, clean, lap) or anything before I mount it to the board for the next 5 years..lol Thanks! Kirk

not necessary to do anything to it. Just mount it. I would experiment between 0.5mm, and 1mm thermal tape and see which works best for you.

Be careful to not get alky or solvents on the sides if you give the blocks a quick wipe, might take off the black color. Great temps on 1.5mm padding too if you prefer more cushion for the... well never mind

I don't think the color will "come off". The plastic is delrin and is black by nature. I haven't really touched delrin to many solvents, but it is durable stuff. Thats why I use it. In any case, WHO WANTS IN ON BATCH 2?!

Delrin is OK with neutral solvents, according to its datasheet. Just don't go using HCl to clean it and it should be fine :)

I am quite surprised being the GPU waterblock manufacturer for the 900 series. Curious to know what happened with Swiftech in that aspect.

no worries, thats what batch 2 is for. Yes the first pictures in this thread are for the Classified X99 board. Just send me a PM or an e-mail and I will hook you up. I am working on the FTW & Micro models now. They are nearing completion: They still require bead blasting, gun coating, assembly, and leak testing. Oh yea... and a test fit!?

They have always made blocks for EVGA GPUs. I don't think they have ever made blocks for EVGA motherboards. I can't blame them, I don't think there are enough motherboards sold compared to GPUs, especially not the ones people watercool.

Figured you would have a picture of one, lol. Has there been an EK motherboard block over the last 2 generations? Since every manufacturer went with EK for waterblocks this round, they can't even keep up with the basic necessities. I don't see them taking on extra work for a small field at this point. Nateman_doo already has blocks out, and completed for the x99 Classified, so if people want to play the waiting game after they said the had no plans, feel free. Nate makes the best EVGA x99 blocks out right now. The question of what happened to swifttech... Everyone requested EVGA go with EK. Surprise surprise, they listened.
