what if we buy the FTW K and a broadwell CPU ,do we need an Haswell CPU to upgrade Bios to use Broadwell CPU?

i mean does Evga X99 FTW K come with the preinstalled Bios that directly supports the broadwell CPUs?

i have read somewhere that ,some people ( on the other brands) had to update their Bios to run the new Broadwell CPUs

thats why i am asking for this

If you are buying now and have a board with HW-E BIOS and a BW-E CPU, contact customer service, in most cases we can assist by getting a BIOS chip to you that is preflashed for BW-E.

So wait, the FTW K board does not come with the updated bios to support broadwell-e? I just bought this board and my cpu will be here tomorrow...
I think we're good (FTW K owners)

It does appear to be currently out of stock on EVGA.com, Amazon and Newegg. I will link the page for it on Newegg as the page does not say FTW K currently so it has to be searched using the Part Number: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188184&cm_re=151-BE-E097-KR-_-13-188-184-_-Product

Put yourself on one (or all) of these auto-notify lists and you will be able to order one as soon as we or other retailers receive more shipments

We do not have any ETA unfortunately, just the auto-notify option so that you can be emailed when stock does come back

I just bought the FTW K after owning 3 ASUS and 2 MSI boards on the X99 platform.  I can honestly say I'm completely underwhelmed with the bios....the overclock settings in the bios on the $220 ASUS X99A puts this to shame.  EVGA should be embarrassed about putting this bios, on the enthusiast platform.

I've kinda been thinking the same thing, i think this is much more of a beginner board than a enthusiast board, i mean the Asus Ranger i have in my server has a more advanced BIOS and that is a £140 board!

I've been tempted to get a couple boards in and just see how they perform compared to FTW K, i mean maybe im expecting too much?

No.  I don't think you are.  The base level boards for both ASUS and MSI have bios versions that are far and away better than this.  I wanted an all EVGA build, so I decided to give the EVGA board a try, as I'd never owned one before.  It'll be a long time before I own one again.  The first revision X99A board I had that I flashed with the new bios (for the new processors), overclocked this CPU to 4.5 stable at .2v less than this one, and.....this one still isn't stable yet.

Call me completely and utterly disappointed.

EDIT:  Cost me $51 in restocking fees and postage to send that POS back to NewEgg for a refund.  Worth it?  Every penny....  The ASUS X99A II replaced it brilliantly.  My overclock is back to normal with normal voltages.
