I am not sure what changed in this bios has but it's completely unstable at 100% prime stable that I was with the 1.09. I am flashing the second bios to 1.09 and returning there until I hear more feedback from people.

And just to give an example: i7 5820k, 100x45, 1.275 +50 adaptive,  12-11-11-30-320 was 100% prime stable with 1.09. I can't even boot to windows with 1.11 on the same settings even if I put memory on default and put 1.375 on cpu!!

I made a short test, no problems with stability up to 4.5 GHz, in the bios everything to automatic. 3DMark 11 stable.

At least the skipped 1.08 and 1.10 due to some other issues. I completely understand your frustration, as I have the micro and had ordered the classified. I sent the classified back already, without even opening it.

The giant text isn't going to help you, and that is what jack was referring to. Posting your frustration is 100% expected.

Is there any way to get the download files for 1.09 again? This update won't even let me boot into the OS. Always freezes right before or at the login screen. In 1.09 I had an overclock of 4.5ghz with voltage at 1.337. In 1.11 it wouldn't boot with that voltage so I upped it to 1.380 just to see if it would get passed the login screen but that didn't work and the temps were way too hot to even concider going any higher. Every other update has helped in the past but this one just completely destroyed my overclock. So if anybody knows where I can get the update files for 1.09 again I would truly appreciate it!

Every time you do a BIOS update, you need to redo the overclocking process all over again.  The numbers could have been tweaked to be more accurate than before so you could be pushing too much or too little now, hence why the machine won't boot.

I always reset everything to default before I update the bios. When I do the update, I run everything on stock settings so it boots and then from there I will restart the comp and set my multiplier and set voltages to auto (gives me a rough idea what the voltage should be) but even setting voltage to auto (set it at 1.37) it wouldn't boot. Then I tried 1.38 and that didn't boot either. It just sucks that on 1.09 I was running flawlessly at 1.34 volts and now with 1.11 I have to up to almost 1.4 just to boot! This is why I am asking if anybody knows how to get back to 1.09. If 1.11 is working for you, great! But it's not for me..

For future endeavors, switch bios selectors. You have 3 options, so if you like 1.09 (in the future) have it on one selector... To try out 1.11 put it on a different bios chip. If you hate 1.11... Switch back to 1.09 with the push of a single lever.

Try using the search feature in the top right. Type in x99 classified/ftw/micro bios 1.09 and see if it comes up. That was how I found 1.06 and 1.07. The search feature on the forums is an innovative thing... You can find all sorts of random goodness ;-)

Completely unstable compared to 1.09. (X99 Micro) Computer freezes randomly during operation @4.2Ghz 1.205v. Ran 1.09 since release and it was perfectly stable, no crashes or anything. Can't run 1.11 for more than an hour without the computer freezing. Not to mention the sound card issues haven't been fixed even though it's been 3 months since I posted about it (best support ever EVGA, Asus has had it fixed for over three weeks now), the fact that EVGA won't even comment about it is the more annoying thing. They're trying the ignore the customer approach, we shall see how it plays out.

I was hoping it would fix the PCIe slot 6 issue (both Classified and FTW), but unfortunately not.  It seems EVGA programmers learned about late.

For those having stability issues while OC'ing, can you try disabling CPU C6 Report

Is there a way to find out more about the C state options?

May I also inquire why C6 would make the system unstable?

    STILL NO XMP SUPPORT FOR G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2133 (PC4-17000) Desktop Memory Model F4-2133C15Q-32GRK

We double checked with GSkill, it seems this memory does not support XMP: http://www.gskill.com/Download/datasheet/Ripjaws_4/F4-2133C15Q-32GRK.pdf

    Well, isn't that BS ;-)
When I bought my 16gb kit it said it WAS XMP PROFILE !!, I would have bought another MFG if it was not....guess they decided they could not make it work...

I was assuming this was a EVGA BIOS issue.

    Newegg still lists my G.Skill RAM as supporting XMP 2.0, as it did when I purchased it in August;

    And G.Skill has the same RAM listed showing XMP 2.0 support on the product page on their own website;

Gskill is shoddy at best. I have the 32gb 2400mhz kit, and they advertise xmp2.0 as well. I can't fault EVGA for not providing something another manufacturer lied about.

I emailed GSKILL about the advertisement of XMP 2.0 on a product that doesn't support it.. This is their response:

"The lower frequency and timing kits only require XMP 1.0.

Higher performance kits like DDR4-2800+ that require additional tweaks would be XMP 2.0. Note this does not affect your performance, XMP 1.0 is not any less than XMP 2.0. XMP 2.0 simply adjusts other settings in the BIOS/EFI for the system to work at extreme speeds such as DDR4-2800+. XMP 1.0 will allow your RAM to run at full speed.

    Thank you
    GSKILL SUPPORT"

I was clearly not satisfied with that answer:

"Unfortunately I cannot accept that answer after paying for a product that advertises Xmp 2.0 through an authorized retailers site. Either this needs to be corrected on the authorized retailers site, immediately, or users need to be upgraded to the advertised product they wasted their money purchasing. It is on the package, the website, and all.   If those extra settings are available to others, and advertised, they should be available to everyone that trusted GSKILL.

If I were not using a QVL motherboard, I could even understand, but as I paid for items on the list to verify the best available product for my price range, then it should work AS STATED.

Please let me know what GSKILL plans to do in this situation.

    Thank you."

And they didn't waste time responding to that one.

"Like I said previously, there are no EXTRA settings that improves your system. You are always given the best settings for your system. The most noted purpose for XMP 2.0 is adjustment of the System Agent Voltage, memory controller voltage, because CPUs can not natively support high frequencies such as DDR4-2800+. You have DDR4-2400, your CPU can handle it just fine without adjusting Systems Agent Voltage, which is why you don't need it. So like I said, you're not losing or missing out on anything by having XMP 1.0. The number has no real significance, and definitely no GAIN. Money is not wasted, you're getting exactly the XMP profile you need for your computer to run at MAXIMUM performance, and that's the same for any G.Skill memory kit. If you would like, look at other brands to see if they have XMP 2.0 for DDR4-2400. For any further questions or concerns, feel free to call us directly.

Thank you for letting us know, and we will make any necessary revisions to avoid confusion in the future.

    Best Regards

    GSKILL SUPPORT"

The unfortunate part is that I am finding out about this after my 30 day return period because of the shipping debacle that I went through. I will not purchase GSKILL in the future, if I can help it. Don't advertise what isn't applicable at all.

Let me add, my only issue is the fact that XMP 2.0 is advertised everywhere as one of the best features of DDR4. Quite frankly, it is my fault for not fully researching and definitely my fault for trusting a brand I had never used previously. I liked the idea of a "better" xmp profile, and I fell for the hype on that, because it was advertised as being available on the Ram I purchased. Fool me once...

Just received another reply from GSKILL, " was a little confused, actually all DDR4 should be XMP 2.0. You can find the SPD ext. info in the SPD tab of CPU-Z, it will show 2.0."

As my motherboard is currently in for RMA, can anyone verify this for us?

Pictures would be extremely helpful either way, whether it is incorrect of GSKILL or not. Thanks guys.
