I really think you guys should give this MB a chance.

With all due respect, that statement is unreasonable and unfair.   It's on EVGA now to prove their motherboards and customers don't purchase "with faith".  We have given them a chance and it didn't work out well for us last round.  Until something is done for me (and I am sure others) I will purchase my boards elsewhere.

I hope for EVGA's sake that their product does improve.

I fully agree with you Johnny,

I was lucky to only have the "bad bios" when I first got my board almost a year ago. the RMA was quick and easy.

But if we are going to pay Top dollar for top gear. the Gear better live up to it's hype.

And for those who are still stuck with bummed boards. I don't think it's as easy as EVGA making a better bios version. It has to be the circuitry on the MB it self, some type of physical issue that can't be ironed out by bios revisions. I'm sure EVGA would have solved those issues if it could have been sorted by bios revisions.

You couldn't be more right Johnny. As far as I am concerned it's all on EVGA to prove they can actually write a stable working BIOS at this point. They have not released a board since the 5 series (happens to be when the old MB team left as well as Shamino) that is worth buying. I've gone through a bunch of 6 series boards with major BIOS issues, and from reading the 6 and 7 series forums I am not alone. So for me and many others here, EVGA is going to have to show that they can produce a board/BIOS that actually works before we will lay down money AGAIN. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Personally I hope they are able to return to glory with this board. I will be first in line to buy it. It looks great, now they just need to show that the BIOS isn't going to hold it back like every board they have put out in the last bunch of years

I also hope it turns out to be a good motherboard as well, I'm not 100% sure of that, so I wouldn't be rushing to buy it even if I had the money (my EVGA fanboyism only goes so far :P )

Graphics cards they still have me on however. (as much as I hated the requirement to purchase an ext. warranty to step up, the replacement of a vague "lifetime" warranty with more realistic amounts of time doesn't bother me, even if it means I can't RMA when I'm 90.)

Admitting the boards do not work right is marketing suicide. I mean SOME work a LOT do not. Mine is one of the 90%'ers that is not right either. I await what they will do. I want a 100% working MB. I believe I am entitled to it. No amount of RMAs or Bios updates will fix what is wrong. As much help as Evga has given me and for as good as they treated me I think I deserve a board that works as good as my X58....

It remains to be seen what will happen, but I am sure something will, it's whether it is good enough... I hope whoever reads this in Evga gets where I am coming from, I REALLY do... I am NOT a fan of criticizing, whining OR complaining, I REALLY Detest it. Please make it right, its all I can ask for...

If only we could get a fully black version of the board. Hmm would definitely be drooling if that was the case!

Do you think is possible that INTEL will skip the Ivy bridge-E CPU ?, if the answer is "yes" , then why some motherboard makers are  releasing ( or planning to release) updates of the X79 motherboards ?

It will be interesting to see what happens. Either way. I'm wither going Haswell-e Or Ivy-E

I'll just be glad to be done with sandy-E all together.

Thank you for info, I am interested to see if they will offer anything to those of us whom have had issues with the X79s we have purchased.  Notice the price is way down from the original price we all paid for these mobos.

I am not one to complain, nor did I because I just used the USB 2.0 but now that I think of it I did kinda waste alot of money on this mobo.

Keeping all this in mind everything I own in my PC is EVGA so I trust in the companies ability to rebound on this MOBO but I hope they take care of those of us whom purchased a product that did not work 100%

Well that is good news.. totally new bios as well. I'm putting RIVA purchase on hold - if I hadn't been so busy lately, I would have already purchased it! Lucky? I hope so.

..assuming this new board is ok with i7-3930K.

This is nice to know. I don't think Vince would just blow smoke on this board. I'll still wait for reviews and in hands of owners thoughts, but the board is now in my possible purchase list.

If he wasn't being given free stuff I might believe him. I will not be convinced of this until several dozen people have it and review the performance and not just for a couple hours of benching.
