Ok so I guess if one is not using Bluetooth, no real advantage to updating to this bios? I am not sure what the mcu reset issue was, so I guess I do not have that issue.

Btw, I still have the erratic mouse behavior in the bios, rendering it useless to use in there for me.

I think the mouse issue is in your overclock settings. Try stock settings and see if it goes away. I used to get that when I pushed my FTW too hard.

I do see now on power on the system will now power off then back on, this is also causes my water pump controller reset issues.
I will want to see if 2.13 will correct this. I had the same issue with an older Bios and also on my X79 FTW & Classified Motherboards.

    Re: EVGA X79 Dark - BIOS 2.12 Released 2014/09/23 08:40:59 (permalink)
Got a replacement board, and so far so good. The Tech Team is very persistent
when it comes to helping you fix the problem. I got a boot and the first time
out of the case as well as first time in the case. It sees my memory and everything
but my EVGA gauge doesn’t work and the temps seem a bit high. The BIOS is 2.06
and from the looks of it I need to update and this might fix the issue as the
gauge was working before. Any recommendations on just jumping into the 2.11 or
2.12 as this board has the blue tooth omitted and I read here that one of you doesn’t
see the need for the 2.12?

If I could go all American I would!

I would go to 2.11 and see how it goes. Been on 2.11 ever since I got this board and I have no issues.

    Re: EVGA X79 Dark - BIOS 2.12 Released 2014/09/24 18:28:36 (permalink)
The board was tested and sent to me with the 2.12 Bios and I have a couple of issue:
    1. VSA reads .768v with the flute using the probe it and the bios reads it as 1.041 and I can't get it to change.
    2. Vicco realds 1.051 and I can not change it but it is close to what I used in the Asus Rampage IV Black Edition board.
    3. When I plug the leads of the Flute into the Prope it leads for the PCH i get 1.654v which I think I am getting memory reading because the board is reading 1.1 on the PCH.
    4. As I metioned before the Fan headers on the bottom of the board are reading off as well because there is no was my Swiftech D655 is running at 1,679 rpm. any sugestions?

I am going to install 2.11 on the Bios switch positon #2 and see how that goes.
    Be advised ,

After I reinstalled Bios 2.11 my power off and power on issue went away as well as the resetting of my Water Pump Controllers.
I do not use Bluetooth so for now I will stay with Bios Version 2.11.

Most people ask this question if they have a cpu not supported by the bios, usually I see this with AMD chips. I don't think there are any problem like that with this board. The bios switch lets you choose between 3 different ones if you have one that's buggy.

So last night my new Bluetooth headphones paired OK, but playback was stuttering. So I decided to use the EVGA driver instead of the Microsoft Win 10, and now the icon disappeared. Also it always give an error screen for the wireless adapter which I don't recall the Dark board having one. It also disappeared from the device manager listing. Now no matter what driver I try, Windows is not seeing it. When I install the driver I can here the audio sound clip like when you plug something into a usb port, but never see an icon anywhere?  Any clues?

You should update to Bios 2.13 Download

Sorry I have 2.13 but it gets more and more difficult to drag up old threads on this site. It's like EVGA wants to bury the past. Not like other forums.

Change theFilter , you can set it to the last 360 or from the beginning
But maybe you should create a New Thread, That is it is not a Bios 2.12 issue but a Bluetooth issue.
Having Bluetooth in the Topic or subject line may yield more help.
