Been looking at the posted pictures of the SB block a lot lately. It does look like it's going to be super tight. Will we be able to fit 1/2" x 3/4" compression fittings in there? I am curious about clearance between the two inlets on the block itself, and also about clearance between the inlets and the top PCIE slot. I will be using 780 Classy HC's with the backplates so am concerned about fitment.

Even if 1/2" x 3/8" Compression fittings don't fit, you could still use a 1/4 extension or angled fitting, then use your 1/2" x 3/8" compression fitting. ;)

I'd be in for this also, after installing my 780 classified HC's most of the stock block isn't visible, so while I liked the look of it, it's hidden anyway, so something that will add a little more cooling to the system would probably be a good idea. :D If it would help at all nateman_doo, I can send you any measurements you need (have calipers) of the area with a 780 HC + Backplate installed with an EK Supremacy CPU block installed. Let me know

Considering he hasn't even posted in the thread for 2 weeks now, it's probably going to be more than a day before he gets back to you.

Hense the "I kid I kid ". I saw an earlier post that seemed to be legitimately perturbed that Nate did not respond fast enough; BUT I was joking It's Saturday / Sunday... I am new here (signed up when I bought my dark) but best I can tell NATE does this for the hobby of it rather than the money. Plus I saw that Nate posted about FAMILY. FAMILY FIRST - Respect. I hope all is well Nate. PEACE.

tarekgrym.evga Hello, I'm very much wanting to buy one of these blocks when available. Please add my name to the list, no BS, consider this post a commitment to buy =D (I'm so tired of the loud whining coming from the little chipset fan.) ~Cheers
Huh? There is no fan on the chipset for the dark... Do you mean the Asus RIVE?

Sorry I dropped off the grid. I have a few more ASRock blocks to take care of and cut and then I can get to the batch of these. At least the Govt Shutdown should get me some free time.

+1. If it would help in any way I'd do the same. Still waiting to hear about the furlough myself, lot of CIV's unhappy that contractors are still working.

Why would he make blocks for the rampage 4 extreme when they already exist. He's making blocks for the Dark because they aren't available anywhere else yet. There are already several socket 2011 CPU blocks on the market, again no need for him to make those.

Nate is only a one man band bud, he has limited time to spend on making blocks and his CNC is also limited in how many he can make at a time. It is not a business for him, sure he has another job. He does what he can making blocks for hardware that does not have any other blocks on the market. We are lucky he even does it for us who have hardware with no other option.

Sorry i have been quiet. Things are MUCH better at home. Give the wife some time, and momma is happy. When momma is happy EVERYONE is happy. Also I am really getting the hang of my new CNC machine: I know its not the Dark blocks yet.. but those will be up soon, in similar bulk fashion. These ASRock blocks should be finished cutting some point today. Sadly I still have to make the fixture plate for the Dark blocks, but at least that block is cut to size.

How do we highlight these posts? Like we used to do in the old forums?? Took the words right out of my mouth. If I was doing this full time I could be knocking them out. However, since the POMA act, I went back to work. No paychecks yet... but "its in the mail". So that means I got a few days to try and catch up (2 days sadly) and now its back to work all this week. I am ALMOST finished with the ASrock batch!! hallelujah! Then I can start the fixture plate for these blocks.
