No, it isn't, I had two failed (didn't work at all) X79 FTW's so they 'sort of' made good and gave me the step up option, should have been just a straight swap though.

Prototype looks great! Have to ask though..... the upper right tab in your pic has no thru-hole for a screw? (I take it that's a result of testing with an actual board?)

Debating on skipping the prototype, and just hitting the go button on a single part. Anyways, here is the machine, with the fixture plate and copper bar stock.

I now present the block: Its the new "see through version" I kid... I messed up. It was the prototype. This is literally just off the machine at 4:07 am. I am spent. Made the tool paths, cut the block, and almost finished my new CNC machine in the course of this evening. I am tapping out for the night. This is why you should never operate machinery when your exhausted. In any case, here is the machine working on it: Stick a fork in me... im done.

Should get a waterproof GoPro mounted on that thing for close up action. Looks good, is that the old machine or the new one? Looks a lot different.

Been looking at the gopro hero3 black. Sexy camera! Another non-descript machining video: What makes this machine so much better then my old one (aside from the length of travel, zero backlash, more powerful & faster motor etc...) Is that the spindle, and the coolant start AND stop in the programming! I used to have to babysit it, or walk away, and come back and the spindle has been needlessly running, and the coolant as well. So far I have tested the machine to a little over twice what my other machines depth of cut has been, so that means instead of 20 laps at 0.02" DOC, i have easily gotten 0.05, and this is the first piece of copper cut on the machine.
