Awesome. I wish I had a webcam on my CNC, or some sort of broadcast coming out of my basement, so you guys could watch the stuff get made.

One more body added to the list. One more, and the entire batch is spoken for.

someone actually asked me about making it in white before a few months ago. What kind of paint did you use? I have been dying to make a FULL coverage block for the board. Like the size of the board, and touching every single component on the board.

I used a white paint for plastic in a rattle can. Scuffed the surface lightly with a scotch-brite pad, primed and painted. :)

I may start cutting tonight. Depends on how quickly I can mow the lawn, or if I get any dirty looks from the wife as I walk into the basement.

Man, you look at pics and you tell yourself "Man, these are some cool looking blocks. I need to get me some of these". But it's only when your package actually arrives in the mail that you can truly appreciate the quality of nateman_doo's craftmanship. Mine's now resting on its X79 Dark, almost ready to go, I just need to finish modding my 900D before I put everything back in And for those of you like me who happen to be from Europe and would just love to get your hands on some of these, I strongly advise USPS Express for shipping. Sure it costs about 35 euros but your package is delivered in 3 business days, it's insured and you don't have to pay any taxes (neither customs taxes nor VAT). Big thumbs up to you again nateman_doo Can't wait to see what you're gonna do next.

How long does the process take, from beginning to end, for the whole set?

Hard to say. I make them in my spare time, so I can't really give an estimate. I just post pics along the way.
Speaking of, I will have some extra blocks if anyone is interested.

It is a setup and let run, but I have to rotate parts, flip them over, take stuff off, and put on, change bits, clean off stuff. Not to worry though. Things are shaping up nicely:

Ran into something interesting: I seemed to have oxidized into a nickle-plate look. Im not sure why, but it looks kind of neat. I will look more into this and see if I can repeat the experiment, and see what may come of it. Its not nickle plating, but pure oxidation.

Could be a chemical reaction from something you machined earlier. Doesnt happen very often but possible.

Still looks pretty sweet. Very gun-metal-ish. Its the interior of the block so it won't be seen either way.
