What is "fixed spacing on intel raid rom text"?? Is it just the text layout on the screen??

    Downloading, thank you very much!
Now that VT is finally fixed, is the next step replacing Phoenix AHCI ROM with Intel AHCI ROM?
Another issue is enabling C6 State and HPET causing DPC and ISR latencies to go way up (from 10 to 100+ us), but not sure this can be fixed using BIOS methods (I don't own an X58 board from any other manufacturer to confirm this). Totally worth a try, though, would be greatly appreciated.
And that's all it takes to make the BIOS perfect!

Gotta say I am impressed with EVGA lately. Looks like the BIOS team finally got their stuff together. Our boards are looking better every day!

/edit: meh, I forgot the undervolting in idle thing, but you posted you had a fix for this in testing already, didn't you?

lol, lets hope VT is actually fixed this time, I will try these out and see what happens. I have always had faith in you EVGA! Regardless of the issues! =]

    Update:

IT WORKS! NO MORE RESTART WITH VT IN ANY CASE!

    Thanks EVGA

Likely, if you have version 82 already then this is identical.

Will this fix my ROM space issue?  With my LSI card in, my intel ich10 raid config disappears in bios level itself?

I've added this to the BIOS Changelog for the E759 Classified Limited Edition Board (<-link), in case you want to check out the notes and links for current and past BIOSes, both official and beta (Twenty-Nine of them and counting...) for this great motherboard.

If you are running Microsoft Virtual PC it will break every time you change setting in BIOS for VT. It is normal, try vmware should work fine.

What happened to the "enable dynamic voltage when turbo is enabled and voltage set manually" from this post http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?high=&m=932958&mpage=12#956532

Even if it can possibly degrade an SSD drive, it is still a feature of the board that can be usefull and that is suppose to work.

    Thanks

That mismatch error dialog was exactly what I was getting with 81, no matter if I had VT enabled or disabled in the BIOS. You didn't happen to recreate a VM with BIOS 81 did you?  That could have created a manifest mismatch in and of itself.

    * * *
82 fixed the original VT (VM) issue for me.  My VM was created prior to 80; just don't remember which.

Thank you so much Jacob and EVGA! I really appreciate the work on the BIOS and the fix, which works for me.

I am going to do more testing, but it appears to be resolved.

    It Works!

I am writing from a VirtualBox IBM OS/2 VM. If OS/2 works, it works! I also have concurrently 3 different Linux VM's running and a Windows 7 32bit VM running, all on a Windows 7 64bit host. The double-pump reset is finally fixed! I tested XP Mode which worked fine as well but MS Virtual PC sucks compared to VirtualBox, so I don't use it much.

    THANK YOU EVGA!

    Oh...it's an E758 R1 Board with 12G ram.

You will have to rebuild it again. Problem with XP mode is that let's you install with or without VT. Once is installed with one of the options any change will break it. Use Virtual Box or VMWare

Just did some quick testing. Everything is ok. I rebooted, it was nice not to have the double-pump. System boots up a little faster, log back in an VM works.

Finally! This has been broken for over a year. New Raid ROMS and the VT fix in one shot. Nice work.
