This may be dumb but I've never updated the bios for my 759 Classified since I've had it. Should I? I'm a novice at this stuff but I just bought 2-580's and I know I need to OC my 920 DO to prevent a huge bottleneck. Safe suggestions?

Start your thread and that way you will get better response than this thread. This is just for issues and kudos on this version of BIOS.

Well, in preparation for the arrival of AMD Bulldozer/Intel LGA2011 systems I have finally parted with my E759 board   It's been a great ride for the last 3 years but for the next few months I'll be busy with (hopefully) some sub-zero benching on the GA-X58A-OC and look forward to what EVGA will have to offer for the upcoming Intel flavor...I sure hope that there will be some exquisite offerings.  By the way, why does EVGA not offer anything for AMD flavor?

From my understanding it is because AMD at this moment does not have anything to compete with against Intel and EVGA only sells what they think will net them the most profit. Most people who are here on these forums want the best. Right now AMD is not the best. Or something to that effect. Maybe if Bulldozer is some actual competition for Intel we will see some EVGA AMD boards. Would be nice, but I don't have my hopes up.
They used to, but I believe that is when AMD and Intel were really close to each other in performance.

Funny, I'd think any profit is good profit...whether you are selling to the mainstream or enthusiast.  It's not like anything is unconsciously sold at a loss, or worse yet manufactured to be sold at a loss.  I'd think that there would be a lot of customers for EVGA if they were selling AMD boards in addition to Intel but whatever, who am I to judge

At the very least I hope their X79 offerings turn out to be good.

By the way, v11.0 Intel RAID OROM is out. Haven't tried to integrate it myself, though.
I hope the new BIOS version is coming soon (it is way overdue), so perhaps it will include this update.

Jacob said through Twitter that BIOS 83 for X58 is on it's way.

Features:
updated CPU microcode.

Is there going to be any other enhancements? Like the new Intel RAID ROM?

Yeah, 11.0 RAID ROM is out now. And would love to see the DPC latency fix when HPET is enabled, that thing is killing me...
Intel AHCI ROM and undervolting when idle... well, would be nice, but not much hope at this point, we've been asking for a year now. :\

Unless you know how to integrate it into your BIOS, it's pointless for you. I don't even know if it's going to work with the current BIOS without modifications.

yeah. these X58 boards are getting long in the tooth, It would be great to see more bios updates but honestly I think evga and most other manufactures are going to start concentrating on the new architectures a lot more and I think X58 will be going the way of the DODO. It is a shame, but I understand. I have had my x58 for a very long time and while I may like to upgrade, at this point I don't have any need for anything faster.
