the $1M if they are investigating it now - what were they doing for 2 years ?

celebrating the x58 motherboards launch. half the team couldn't keep up the intense celebrating and everyday parting and so they quit due to "personal reasons"... Now when the cashflow from the x58 sails decreased due to the recently introduced intel'  chipset (intel has ruined the party as usually) and they had to cut the expenses on parting and chicks by  half, they noticed that the motherboards require bios update. "About time" I would say

[[I think two BIOS's per release would be a PITA.]]
just saying
-what if the bios releases were split into 45nm and 32nm where releases relating to one 32nm cpu would not need a 45nm release.
-just a bios noob not sure how much space could be saved if any.

* Still waiting eagerly *

Though I am happy the EVGA team and denjanh are working on a solution, it still disappoints me that these issues weren't tackled before. If you are doing "Intelligent Innovation" you would have foreseen these problems.

Oh well, still keeping my fingers crossed in getting a bios which my E762 deserves; the best of the best with the latest stuff...

EVGA used to be a great company (I've been a customer since early 2005). But after 2017 it went completely downhill. EVGA doesn't treat customers as customers, but as complete idiots! I used to own over 30 EVGA products (videocards, motherboards, PSU's and so on). Not anymore. #evga #pathetic

I'll be the first to say that it's always easier to look back in hindsight. I have no idea what resources EVGA has, how many people work in the company, or the problems they face. Every job has its problems. It's easy for us to raise our pitchforks and demand customer service, when we don't know how hard or easy it is to ask what we do.

At the same time, and to be fair, asking for a level of service is our right, to meet our expectation of what we believe EVGA to be. Ultimately -- and I hope Jacob passes this on -- the veracity of the comments in this thread are a compliment to EVGA. We wouldn't talk like this if we didn't care and like the products the company has produced.

Bar the VT double-pump bug, I am really happy with the E770 Classified 3 and I think it's a great board. I am critical because EVGA is so close to perfection. Please take that Jacob as both encouragement and a call to arms to deliver all that EVGA can be for its customers.

Won't happen, sadly.
I wouldn't mind a larger BIOS chip with all the new features and fixes, though.

We are still working on this. We have tried several ways to implement this, but still no solution at the moment.

We are working directly with Award on a solution.

Try working with Gigabyte instead, they've already answered the million dollar question.

Jacob, Might be a stupid question but is there any features in the classified3 BIOS that are not used or redundant that could be cut out to make room for the larger ROM?  Perhaps remove the ability to save OC profiles since after a flash you can't reload it anyway.  I'm sure the people who use this feature would part with it for a updated RAID ROM.

I'd be cool if they dropped it from 8 profiles to 3-5, but then again I know nothing of how a bios really works so maybe I'm just pissing in the wind here lol.

I'm sure the space used to save those profiles is reserved in the BIOS and dropping it down to 2 or 3 would free up some space i would imagine.

Thanks for letting us know, Jacob.
Getting updates in a timely manner is important.
Glad you're not working alone and have full support of Award. I am sure you'll get there.
What is the current issue? Is it still the lack of space, or getting 10.1 RAID ROM to load?

Not to sound rude or anything...but just flash it yourself and see? Bios flashing is very easy and you can always flash back if need be. I'd flash the new bios and then see what results you get.
