Actually, this thread was started on Jan 31st this year. It's now March 17th, and we are still waiting for this all to pan out.
In that time i could have built a house, or completely re-built my motorbike, or even designed a brand new car including all the tooling involved.
But it seems beyond the entire inteligence of EVGA to come up with an updated working bios for their own in house premier motherboard.
 

?? What's your point? That's what I get from my NAS based on an ATOM CPU and 4 5400rpm spinners in RAID 5 over my network to my Core 2 duo SL7300 laptop. If I get 107MB/s that from my X58, I'd be pissed but you included a network component to it which is the bottleneck.

If this topic gets closed for any other reason than for a newer bios version, EVGA will be forcing me to move to another brand. Other than that, it will result in several reviews on review websites and forums. But I doubt this will be needed and I trust the new bios to be released very soon.

Guys if you really need a better bios just go with an other x58 board. Take Asus for example. They released AM3 motherboards like the Crosshair IV and soon after AMD announced bulldozer Asus released a new bios to support this new processor technology even before the new cpu's have been released! I mean Evga is an ok company and I am going to continue to buy their video cards but as far as their motherboards are concerned I don't think they have the resources to maintain support after the shelf like of their product is over. Though there is one exception - they did release the power booster but I think that was more to protect from against liability from their motherboards melting down. So not sure if producing a new bios with the latest intel rom is in their best financial interest. Just business...

ya I hope it's soon, I been holding off ordering an sata/sas card till this update comes to see if they fix the issues with the raid controller, be nice not to have to spend that 600 bucks, just to have a raid controller that works with all ssd's.

Unless of course they're having trouble staying profitable. I remember a few years back before Abit pulled out of the motherboard business the bios releases slowed down to a crawl. I mean you never know tomorrow Evga might announce they're leaving the motherboard business. I mean who would have thought that Ocz would have pulled out of making memory?!
