Which BIOS version does the EVGA X58 SLI Classified Hydro Copper Edition use? E759 or E760. Also, I recall from last year people were saying with VT enabled they were frying their SSD's. I left it off but I would like to use VMware Workstation on my rig with 64bit VM's. Was a fix ever found for that problem?

Yeah it does not have the 2 NF200 to get you 4x 16X PCI-E lanes. It will work on 4x 8X though. Looks like a 2% performance lost with the GTX 580? Waterblocks will come eventually I am sure.

Honestly, this board is intended to run max 2-way with high-performance graphics cards. Both slots that can do 16X will drop to 8X if there is anything populated in the other two slots, not to mention that this board for most users will need the extra slots for other cards (sound, LAN, etc.). I am actually thinking to pick this board up as well for ****s-and-giggles being that it will be priced sub-$300 but I am just being realistic with usage. 4X will be a bottleneck. As far as waterblocks are concerned, I really doubt any will come. I even doubt most retailers will carry this board as it has a very narrow spectrum of target consumers.

I'm still hopeful because I am keeping this MB/CPU until next year. It can still run most everything exceptionally well. Next year is a different story though. My next MB will depend on what happens here. Not a threat or anything, I love EVGA, I have two of their products in my rig (MB + GPU). I am waiting for the X68's at the end of this year/early next year.

By looking at your rig, do you have problems? I see you are running Intel SSD Raid 0 which should have none problems.

I have the same issues, I have had to RMA my Corsair Nova V128gb SSD's twice now, because when you use the intel controller on this board with raid 0 it WILL kill your drives, which is why an updated raid rom would be nice. Honestly tho if you want to run SSD in raid on this board your better off buying a pci-e raid card.

They don't care about us, they already took our money. Lack of updates and keeping us informed are not part of EVGA's customer service it seems. Since I am fed up by this wait, I have posted a review on Newegg (for the E762). Maybe other people should do it as well? Maybe that will get EVGA's attention.

I filled in a support ticket as well. I am getting fed up with of waiting and "begging" for an update...
Most probably I won't be answered in the ticket either, like the rest of you guys. It really is strarting to look that EVGA doesn't value their customers anymore...
If that's the case, what would be the difference by going for Asus or Gigabyte for my next rig? I have choosen EVGA mainly because their excellent support, however if that's gone, why should I stay and not decide to go for something else instead?

I recently jumped ship from EVGA to Asus, but mainly due to the fact that I screwed up and bent some of my socket pins and I needed a board fast and the E770 was nowhere to be found. I got the Rampage III Extreme and its latest BIOS still has the Intel RAID ROM that EVGA was using up until BIOS 78. So, if one is jumping ship, I recommend you do some research. You might even take a step backward. From other comments here it seems that Gigabyte does have the newer RAID ROM for Intel and also has a BIOS layout very similar to EVGA's. Asus BIOS is very different than EVGA and I am still getting used to it. The R3E also has a crazy issue with not remembering the boot drive sequence. The Gigabyte X58 OC looks very interesting, but I could not wait anymore.
