Is it a bird?

Is it an airplane?

...

No! It's BIOS 79!

Long live the 79!

Stop doing that lol

Hahahahahaha

ebednar11 Can X58 boards run the 10.x RAID ROM? I remember reading that X58 can't run the 9.x RAID ROM because it was designed primarily for P66/67 chipset?

That is false. Even some Core 2 boards are now flashed with 10.1 OROM.

That's why it was a QUESTION...geez. X58 boards cannot run 9.x RAID ROM, that's fact. So what's different with 10x RAID ROM is what I am asking. Next..

Once EVGA X58 boards are capable to run 10.x ROM they will be able to run any RAID ROM released by Intel to date, so you can pick and chose which you want to run

And yes...today is a good day for a BIOS update.  Let's hope we get one

I hope we do get one today.  I'm planning on starting my OCing as soon as the new BIOS comes out.  Maybe you can have a look at it and tell us why it took so long?

Don't think I won't

If they really pull it off, it would be better to call it BIOS 100 instead of 79....:-D

I don't care what they wanna call it, just wanna get it running on my MB already

I hope next they can work on using Intel ACHI instead. Once the new bios is released I think someone should redo the Avatar image to "EVGA please update the bios with Intel ACHI."

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if that would happen.

I diddnt even think of that, I just assumed they would use it since it works, just needs a small tweek in the bios to allow for it to be used when set to AHCI. Works fine when set to raid, and stand alone drives default down to it.

That's more important then raid,  it effects more people who want the best possible performance from their stand alone SSD's using TRIM.

That's why I want both to be updated and added to the bios. Just got myself an SSD for OS and gonna go Raid 5 on my three WD blacks. So an Intel AHCI to take care of my SSD and Raid Rom for my WD Blacks.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die ooopps wrong ! Time to get new RAID ROM :)

Vast amounts of Kudos :)

Blade Runner, for the uninitiated.

Side fact: I met Rutger Hauer once. This post will probably be buried in the mists of time, but the bit "like tears in rain" wasn't actually part of the script. He soloed it in the moment, and Ridley loved it and kept it.

Back to business. Looking forward to the new BIOS -- and for the double-pump with VT enabled issue fixed.

I met Rutger Hauer also once on a festival overhere, but then again, I live in the Netherlands. Most probably that has to do with it. Years ago though. He must be approx. somewhere in the middle 70's by now... :)

KEEP ON JOKING :)
--------------------------

No BIOS today, my love has gone away
The MB stands for lorn, a symbol of the dawn
No BIOS today, it seems a common sight
But people passing by don't know the reason why

How could they know just what this message means
The end of my hopes, the end of all my dreams
How could they know the palace there had been
Behind the door where my love reigned as queen

No BIOS today, it wasn't always so
The company was gay, we'd turn night into day

But all that's left is a place dark and lonely
A terraced house in a mean street back of town
Becomes a shrine when I think of you only
Just two up two down

No BIOS today, it wasn't always so
The company was gay, we'd turn night into day
As music played the faster did we dance
We felt it both at once, the start of our romance

How could they know just what this message means
The end of my hopes, the end of all my dreams
How could they know a palace there had been
Behind the door where my love reigned as queen

No BIOS today, my love has gone away
The MB stands forlorn, a symbol of the dawn

But all that's left is a place dark and lonely
A terraced house in a mean street back of town
Becomes a shrine when I think of you only
Just two up two down

No BIOS today, my love has gone away
The MB stands forlorn, a symbol of the dawn
No BIOS today, it seems a common sight

Behind the door where my love reigned as queen

No BIOS today, it wasn't always so
The company was gay, we'd turn night into day

But all that's left is a place dark and lonely
A terraced house in a mean street back of town
Oh all that's left is a place dark and lonely
A terraced house in a mean street back of town
Oh all that's left is a place dark and lonely
A terraced house in a mean street back of town

Trust me. I use my rig beyond anything most people will do. Audio/Video Encoding/Decoding, Programming .NET, Virtual Machines with SQL Server installed along with Virtual Machine running Ubuntu on it and of course let's not forget gaming. I didn't say with no reason that eVga boards are one of the most stable and reliable products I used so far.

Intel SSD Raid 0 or Raid 1 or Raid 5, or any type of HDD with any type of Raid setup should have zero problems cause i tested it and it works perfect here.

And which onboard controller are you using your SSDs on?

This "expert" here is using the JMicron controller. :P

Right so lradunovic is using the 4-way SLI and is not being impacted by the SATA 3 issues generated by the marvell controller then ;)

How easy it is to imply "im an expert" and say "I use my rig beyond anything most people will do"

lradunovic - I would just like to send our overwhelming congratulations to you from all of us mere mortal computer users on your success at being able to install some applications on a computer.

This quote cracks me up - Just because it works for you does not mean there should be ZERO problems for everyone else.

Anyway lets get back on track and try and get a REAL answer from EVGA about when the updated FIXED bios will be released !!!

Who is talking about successfully installing application? I am talking about using them. And when i said i use computer beyond anything most people do here i meant actual professional work as well as gaming.
I actually use computer, what do you do? **** about controller, and pick your buggers
