atfrico Alucard666 atfrico Well, I tried this bios on my X58 Micro and I must say, it is a PITA to get the OC settings right My previous OC settings didn't work at all on this bios (previous bios 73). Had to start from scratch and so far everything is peachy. Voltage a little bit high on my OC. I noticed this as well.... still tweaking my settings.... Manually set the voltage you had on your previous bios OC settings and work your way up on the CPU speed you had before till you reach the settings you are happy with. As of now, I am up to 3.7Ghz with 1.28vcore and 125+ VTT. It is kind of high at the moment, but it is stable enough to play BF BC2 3hrs straight with reasonable temps. Yea. I started doing that. Up to 4ghz thus far with ht and turbo on. it seems stable enough for gaming. Haven't done any further testing just yet though.

Well I'm stable but I only overclocked from 2.66 to 3.2 ghz. Very pleased that my memory is still stable at 1600mhz with +50 vtt ! Maybe I'll turn on turbo mode but until a game like Crysis II comes out I don't think I need to overclock anymore than that!

Tried the upgrade (from CD rom) yesterday and something went wrong. I booted the disc and the upgrade process went smooth without errors but somehow once I rebooted I noticed that the POST screen actually seemed a bit older in the look and feel, also the Intel Matrix Storage Manager screen which should display disk setup was gone - I could no longer se any of the two RAID1 setups I have. Finally, after rebooting a couple of times I noticed that the POST screen displayed each disk drive separately, so for 1&2 I had my two SSD's which is the RAID setup for the OS, on number 3 i had a single stand alone disk (it has always been a standalone) and for 4&5 where I have 2x1TB Western Digital drives it showed something like Bzbzbzbzbzbzbzbzbzbzbzbzbzbz on number 4 but number 5 showed the disk information for the second 1TB drive properly. I'm at work right now so I can't provide any more specific info at this moment but if anyone has any suggestions as to what might have happened and how to fix it, please let me know.

Sounds like you have to do a bios cmos reset to clear old data. Then enable the raid controller in the bios settings and save and reboot and go back into bios and one by one enable previous features. Don't forget to check the preferred boot order for hard disk boot settings. Once you get that all set and working write down your bios settings for next time you flash bios. Best of luck...

On the Classified 3, still has same problem of FORCING long memory test with no BIOS override. If I let it run, the system shuts down after reading 4GB then starts up in safe mode. If I hit escape, system boots normally. I'm a verteran Classfied user so yes, everything else checks out fine in the BIOS.
Please advise! Very annoying problem!
Whatever your problem is, I don't have it. It goes by really fast and done.

The RAID setup utility in the boot is no longer showing EDIT: Nevermind / I should have looked more thouroghly through the BIOS settings before asking - found it, set it back to RAID and booted into my OS like before :) thanks for the help

hmm think a lot of ppl dont know how to use the tWL and tRL because a lot of ppl dont use other boards but to give u a hint u can now copy any other board mem settings on asus/gigabyte etc. all u have to know what is the tWL and tRL is. example r3e presets for bclk 200 ram 2:10 C8 which is much tighter on C8 done on evga e760

Cheers for the help Bolts4Brekfast yep all is good on BIOS 77, Did have the oc up to 4.60GHz but wasn't stable so put it back to 4.48GHz, did notice aswell that it still lock's your mem to 2:10 when you use the turbo function. Is there anyway that you can unlock the cpu from the mem

FAIL with the e762 here After flashing I can't get my old overclock back! 9 out of 10 times the bios will stop with error 10 (Autodetect EEPROM), whatever the heck this is, I cant find anything online about this error. If it ever gets around to POSTing, the computer will freeze right after windows+programs are fully loaded. I don't know how many times I reflashed with the same result. Loading the defaults will make it operational, but that's not what I'm after... Big FAIL to EVGA!

Dear all, I have a quick question about my Mother board bios updated. I have a X58 classified 3way 760 version. I've already update several bios from the E760S610 until the E760S61J and I never faced any trouble with this. Currently I'm not able to update new bios from E76044 until the last one E760077. When I proceed with flashing method USB or once CD it's always the same conclusion message on AWDflash: "The bios version doesn't match with your system!!!" ??? I'm a little bit confused with this, because it seems that the old bios works but the new ones not... what's happen with bios? Does anybody face this kind of message? Any idea about root cause... Thanks in advance for your help. Nota: Sorry about my english and if there are some mistakes in my post, but this is not my mother langage please understand.
