Thanks guys but I need the BIN file. Not sure of a way to get it out of the ISO. It appears that any tool I use to inspect the ISO shows there being nothing at all inside. I even burnt the ISO to a disc and it is still showing 0 bytes used.

Regardless of whether I have EIST and C-states enabled and whether the voltage is set manually or on auto. The multipliers always change, but the voltage never.

I really hope this board gets to work the way it should and that they fix everything that needs to be fixed as a final send off to us X58-ers. I mean with p67 and SB here they won't keep this chipset around for much longer so it only makes sense to fix all the issues and sweep it and us under the rug with smiles on our faces, right?

We just need to keep the buzz up, especially related to RAID and they will fix it...first time they publicly acknowledged that they are looking at it. By the way, did you ever manage to flash the BIOS?

Well EOL won't occur til something better appears the P67 in most cases would be a side grade to some of us. From all ive read the i7 still has more threads and tri channel which still gives us somewhat of an edge over the P67 platform. So hopefully all the problems are worked out soon and the boards function as intended. I myself look forward to upgrading to the newer platform that replaces the X58. Until then hopefully the few issues ive seen get cleared up. I dont doubt that Evga will fix the issues.

I'm curious - are there any plans to provide some sort of Windows based flashing tool? Some other board OEMs have this and it's kind of nice since you don't have to go through the process of making a bootable disc, etc. Not that its any trouble, mind you. I just think that kind of tool is pretty convenient. (it even checks for and downloads the updated BIOS file for you, let's you back up the current BIOS settings (just in case)) - just curious. P.S.: I don't know why I didn't make this switch sooner - the combination of the i7, the SLI 3 mb, the 12GB of RAM and the 64GB SSD boot drive have this thing rockin'!!

Windows based BIOS flashing is inherently the most risky way to flash a BIOS. When I was a moderator at the now defunct Abit forums there were countless posts on that Abit utility seeking out the wrong BIOS files and hosing boards. The safest and best way to flash is from DOS.

Agreed, I have never attempted to flash a bios from within windows - imho, that is just asking for trouble. I have been using the cd method for a number of years now, and have yet to have a bios flash go bad <knocking on wood> - and it is very easy to flash with the cd method. Also, I used to be one that would always flash to a new bios when it was released. I now find myself much more patient, if my system is running well and I don't see a change or feature in the new bios that will benefit me, I just hold off. I am still running bios 71 on my FTW3 board, it is solid and running well so to date I have not seen a need to flash to a newer bios.
