• Added "Reserve RC for Bridge" - Enables resources for 5 VGA's.
• Added High Precision Event Timer.
• Disables PS2 keyboard in device manager if no PS2 keyboard present.

• Download the following .iso file: E762_620N.iso
• Use a CD Burning software to burn the .iso image onto a blank CD (Nero, Alochol 120%, MagicISO etc.)
• After it has burned, insert CD and restart the machine, go into the BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
• Now set the CD Drive as the primary boot device, or press escape while the system is booting to select CD as the bootable device.
• After flash remove the CD, and power off PC Completely.
• Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS

• Download the following executable: E762_620N.exe
• Insert blank floppy disk into drive and run executable
• After the floppy has written fully, restart the machine, go into the BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
• Now set the USB Floppy as the primary boot device, or press escape while the system is booting to select USB Floppy as the bootable device
• After flash remove the floppy, power off PC Completely
• Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS

• Download: E762620N.bin
• Visit this thread and follow the installation instructions. (thanks 30h6).

Greetings fellow 762 owners.....first off board boots fine but heat sink arrived at 45 degree angle bent towards first PCIe slot.  Can this be attributed to "shipping football"??  Second, could someone please explain the following;

This sounds very interesting but is there an operating system out there or drivers for that matter that can support this feature??

I asked that nub question myself early on. Answer is yes, its designed to be at that angle and it works out quite well in comparison to the 759 or 3-way classifieds. With the angle, you have an option to turn popular heatsinks to face in a different direction by increasing cpu h/s fan clearance.

 Hey ZachA, The link is still working for me. They had the same problem when they shipped the E759 back in February or March '09. Believe me I went through about 5 or 6 E759 (NB's). I don't know why that link up above is not working for you. Here it is again http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?high=&m=42342&mpage=1#43568. I would like to know who told you that the North Bridge Heat Sink should be bent. If you look at the pictures here on EVGA's website, is it bent???

ZackA, I'm not trying to be rude in anyway and I hope I don't come across like that. I just seen that you posted this a couple times before and it's not right. I went through the same thing when I first got my E759 back in March and I even chopped my Noctua to fit. Like I said before I have had a few E759's with bent NB/HS and the temp were crazy compared to a straight one.

I will quote Jacob form that link you say is not working. Mods, if I'm wrong by quoting Jacob please delete. This was posted 11/27/09.

"No it is not normal to be bent, it appears that some of the coolers are getting bent during shipment, we have already made improvements in the last shipment.

If you received a bent cooler there are a few ways to get this corrected:

1. You can bend it back carefully.
2. Contact us directly for a replacement.

There is no official support for the i7 980 as of yet, so you wil have to do some google searching to find the correct bios for it.
