Hi,

I'm considering getting a second one of these cards as I can pick it up cheap, however I currently have an 860W PSU and was wondering if that'd be sufficient or if I'd need to upgrade it?

I did have a look online but couldn't find any conclusive information.

PSU: Corsair AX860, Platinum efficiency.

    You should be fine, your system and both cards should come in the 750 watt range.

    Here's an article from EVGA on power supply buyer's guide.  According to that, it should meet your needs.

    You should be okay with that PSU, especially if it is a Platinum rated unit, but it would be a bit too on the edge for me, personally. I'd move up to a 1000w, especially if any issues crop up over time.

    The 860 is plenty enough I have it and I don't even reach close to my power requirements!

    He's going to be running two. OMG you didn't notice?  Less snark, more paying attention to detail.

    As said it should be enough.  Note: A friend put in two 780 ACX cards with a new Corsair 860.  Crashed when gaming and he does not overclock.  He went up to a 1000w (I recommended 1200w).  Have seen other instances of this with Corsair PSU's and cheaper ones.

    The Titan Black is a 250W card (21A @ 12V), with some independent testing/reviews measuring the peak power draw slightly higher at around 267W (22.25A).

    You can get a good idea of your total system wattage requirement using this PSU calculator..While your total system wattage requirement is important, a crucial factor in power supply selection/suitability is amperage on the +12v rail(s).

    One Titan Black *can* draw up to 75W (6.25A) from the PCIe slot itself..The card can draw up to 75W (6.25A) from the 6-pin PEG connector and 150W (12.5A) from the 8-pin PEG connector for a total of 300W which is known as meeting the PCI-SIG 300W specification..Total amperage the card *can* allow itself to draw through it's VR circuitry is 25A.

    The Corsair AX860 has a pretty hefty 71A single +12v rail..As long as it meets your system wattage requirement estimated in the PSU calculator it *should* be good with Titan Blacks in a 2-way SLI configuration.

    Hi again, got the second card set-up but am running into a small issue;

    Under certain circumstances such as playing demanding games like Assetto Corsa, I get massive framerate drops until the game black screens but audio and controller feedback continue.

    Is this a sign that I have a dodgy card? Or that the PSU is simply struggling with the power requirements?
