Greetings,

Just purchased a 120-G2-1300 for a client who is looking to get into cryptocurrency. This power supply is intended to power two miner devices. Sadly, out of the box the PSU will not power on.

Forgive me for an amateur question, but all I have connected to the PSU is the six 6-pin VGA cables and the power cord. The PSU should start humming away, correct? I would assume the PSU would turn on even with nothing but the power supply connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dk.

You need the 24 pin connected and either a motherboard or the 24 pin tester (black piece with a single wire jumping between spots).

Power supplies do not constantly run or you would waste exponential amounts of electricity for no reason.

Absolutely correct. At work we use one with 7 or 8 automotive cigarette lighters spliced into it. It has the jumper Scarlet-Tech refers to.
