So I just finished my build (looks good in the raijintek metix black case).  I am setting up windows and drivers and for some reason my wifi is connecting to my archer c7 wireless router at 72mbps.

I have the latest driver from the evga download page installed.  Any ideas?

edit:  i double checked and both antennas are properly connected to the wifi card.  There are 2 red lights when i turn the computer on (not sure if that means anything).  My other PC running the stock wifi card asrock H81-itx connects properly at 150mpbs...

edit2: i forced 40mhz on the tp link router and now its 150mpbs, but my asrock gets 433mpbs now.  Im confused why the EVGA wifi sucks performs so much worse than th asrock which was around half the price..

I would double check the wifi antenna.

I can't fix mine, they just do not clip. How did you install yours ?

The wifi antenna was also my first thought but visually inspecting is seems fine (because the case is so small i have to partially dismantle everything for my fingers to reach the m.2 card and putting it back together is not fun).

I also had some trouble clipping, you sort of have to make sure the clips are parralel to the card before pushing it in with some force.  This means the antenna wires cannot be  hanging vertical down as the card blocks it, instead it has to be to trailing to the side (towards the backplate).

When I have time this weekend I will try to reset their positions and see what happens.

It seems that ASrock installed an 802.11ac card on your board?  433Mbps is not a speed you'd see on an 802.11n card.

    EVGA Z97 Stinger Wifi comes with an entry-level 1x1 802.11n card (AzureWave AW-NB165NF), so 72Mbps @ 20MHz and 150Mbps @ 40MHz are the expected link speeds.

Just to let you know, I have both antenna not connected to the card and both led are red. Can't remember when I had only 1 connected if both leds were on or if only one.

So I would double check your connection, it might be the problem.

What sort of speeds are you getting?  I  am starting to think that this are normals speeds and I should invest in a better wifi card down the road.
