I've never owned or purchased a EVGA GPU until my 2 1070 SC's and I generally don't register products so I most likely would have not come to the site without the promotion for the free Power Link. I have commonly built PC's with EVGA gold standard PSU's so I knew it was a top tier quality company... but EVGA Step-Up? Within 90 days? If you would have advertised this years ago I would have been a customer for years. I'm now your devoted pleb. I will use this feature soon to go to GTX 1080's for my 4k Gaming setup and will also be replacing my Gigabyte Gaming 6 mobo with your Classified K. Way to stand by your product and offer something I had no idea existed in the PC world. ~Love, Me

The step-up program has certainly evolved over the years... At one point, it was pretty limited in WHAT you could step-up to exactly. I may step-up my 2 cards to 1080's... mayyyyybe... Haha, 3 months to sort this out.

3 months to sort it out, 6 months + for EVGA to actually step you up. You likely wont have those two 1080s for a year. Still waiting on my step up from early June.

Well, in that case he'd get to use the 1070's for a year and then replace them with brand new 1080s... about the time Volta comes out...

He better hope those 1070s don't have any failures for a year, otherwise he will be down a card until the step up comes through.

Lol'z...!? Well, at least I will get my full-use of my 1070 SC's in SLI proper before moving-on! I'm trying to skip the first-gen volta to be honest...

EVGA warranty/replacement should simply cover the failed card tho... [Even if the Step-up is still lagging behind.] A dying card before the step-up completes shouldn't be a problem I don't imagine! As long as the end-user has already been approved to be in steup-QUEUE, they shouldn't need to apply again nor should it invalidate a legit RMA assuming the damage was not at fault of the end-user.

My 980 TI that I have in step up failed. I was told in support chat that If I wanted to RMA it and get a replacement I would lose my step up since I wouldn't be able to start a step up on new replacement as it was past 90 days. I had to buy a additional 1080 GTX two months later in August when they started to show up on Amazon. Such a waste of money but was getting tired of not being able to play the games I wanted on my 3440x1440 monitor and HTC vive.
