AdrianIscariotwhere I can actually buy one from in the UK?.
I got mine from the UK from here EVGA Pro SLI Bridge (2-Way) - 100-2W-0021-LR - Scan.co.uk

Thanks buddy.  I saw that one, but I'm not sure if it'll fit if I put the cards in the slots I need to.  Have a feeling I may need the 2/3 way bridge, but will wait and see.  Just noticed I can order one from the EVGA site too, not sure where it ships from as the currency is in Euros but it's at least an option.

Nope, the 2/3 is for boards that are capable of 3way SLI and can be used even if you only have 2 cards. Your board is only capable of 2way SLI. And there is 1 empty slot between your cards, thus you need the 2way Bridge.

Re:EVGA Pro SLI Bridges + Giveaway! 2013/11/23 12:39:13 (permalink)
Ah okay.  I thought there was 2 empty slots, but only one actually contained a PCI slot.  That doesn't make a lot of sense, but what I mean is the gap between the two red slots looks to be double the gap between the top black slot and the first red slot.

Thanks for the help.  Going to sort my fans out, then the SLI bridge is next on the shopping list!

You are correct.  You need the 2-3way.  The 2 way is for 60mm spacing.  2-3 way is 40mm or 80mm.   If persons are unsure about which bridge to get, just measure the distance from one pci slot to the other pci slot.

Short 2-way= 40mm (no slots between cards) http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-2W-0022-LR

long 2-way=   60mm (one slot between cards) http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-2W-0021-LR

2-3 way=       80mm (two slots between cards) or 40mm (no slots) with bridge overhanging on 2-way, 3-way 40mm (no slots) http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-3W-0031-LR

4 way=          40mm  (no slots between cards) http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-4W-0041-LR

No seriously, the Maximus IV Hero uses the long 2way bridge. the reason there is that empty space under the first PCIe is because Asus knows most people put a graphics card in the PCIe slot and a double slot GPU covers the PCI slot under the PCIe. But then there is that PCIe x1 slot meaning there is one empty slot between cards. Thus you need a 1long 2way bridge.

From the picture of the board it looks like more than 60mm, but looking again you are right.  the 60mm 2 way  People really should invest in a measuring device and check before ordering.

I will definitely measure when I receive my replacement mobo - the first one was DOA.  Not a great start to my first ever PC build but hopefully it'll be up and running soon.  I was checking as I thought I'd order the SLI bridge now and have it waiting for when the board arrived, but I think instead I'll measure it and pop the bridge on my Christmas list!

Thanks for your help, guys.

I purchased a bridge and I cannot control it properly with either GeForce experience or the EVGA LED Controller.   I'm using them on three EVGA 780 Ti Superclocked cards.   On power up, the bridge lights, but after the video driver inits, it goes super dim.   When trying to adjust the brightness of the "SLI Bridge" in either program, absolutely nothing happens.   I can control the LEDs on the three video cards just fine.   What am I doing wrong?

Can anyone confirm that the light does not work with the GTX 770 Classified ACX version? On the compatibility list it is not listed as compatible, just wanted to double check.

No, as I said in a earlier post in this thread, 690s and 590s only have one SLI finger, so only the 2-way bridges will connect to them.

I still can't get the LED to be controllable via EVGA or NV's software.   Anyone having this issue too?

OK, I saw that has a 1,2,1,2 finger layout. I thought I could use the one finger. Could someone test it for me as I don't have a Bridge to try this out my self.

Some great photo's in here. Just picked the 2-way SLI bridge up from a local retailer, good stuff and spot on with the spacing of the P9X79. Looks like i might get the backplates now i can see the bend on the pcb, ha.

Pretty nice result!
It looks really nice with the Titan Cooler :)

so can anyone explain why my 770 classifieds dont support led control or illuminate the bridge? there is obviously a difference from a hardware standpoint... im guessing that my new cards are actually based on 600 series architecture huh?

If you live in the UK and are not that far away from where i live i could come round and we coulod test my 2-way SLI bridge mate. On the EVGA webpage that is in the first post it says that the EVGA logo illuminates on select 770 cards. *

Here is the list from the EVGA website with the numbers for the select 770's

I appreciate the offer but I'm not in the UK. I looked at the list before posting and I'm clearly not on it...I'm running a pair of hydro copper 4gb 770 classy's (3779/3777) I knew they weren't on the list before I ordered my bridge... I'm just curious why on earth they aren't supported. I guess I'm just wondering if my cards will ever support the illumination on the bridge I just ordered.

new to posting here but old school to pc"s.  The compatibility list is not quit accurate as in nothing below a 770 should light up, BUT i am running 2 650 ti boost 1gb in sli and i just received my brand new 2 way bridge ( replacement for the flexible one that came with my asus board ) and it clearly lights right up in what appears to be a greenish white color

That gives me hope at least... I already know that I can't utilize the software that allows you to control the lights on the card. But if the thing illuminates with the evga logo I will be very happy anyway... I'll post pics when I have it installed.

Yeah pretty good looking but sadly pretty bad gaming in SLI, very underwhelmed by nvidia driver teams and video game developers and their SLI implementations, i would never do it again and certainly not for the price. I had better memories of Radeon 4870X2 and Radeon 5970 maybe i should of gone for a GeForce dual card because GTX780 in 2-way SLI and pc gaming is crap, i don't mean to be rude i am being absolutely honest. PS4 in the future i think?.

Hi,

Can anyone point me to the correct SLI bridge for my ASUS MAXIMUS VI Formula?  It basically has a two slot gap between the primary video card, and the 2nd.

Secondly, I purchased the EVGA Pro SLI Bridge (3-way/2-way), thinking this was the correct one, but unfortunately I was wrong.  Will EVGA accept a return?
