sahafiec will the new version include a 64bit OSD?
When PX 15 came out (briefly), it had 64bit support. I would think when it gets re-released, it will again.

Aside the fact that EVGA still hasn't sincerely apologized to Unwinder and bought him a new car and a house for stealing his work with no shame, I wanted to report that the latest EVGA Precision X 5.0.1 BLOWS! It won't even let me play BF4 as it makes it run at 4-5fps. Then I close the program and BF4 runs great again. With version 4.2.1, BF4 runs just fine, but PunkBuster detects it as a potential cheating tool (How ironic when you consider blatant RivaTuner theft?). Luckily, MSI AfterBurner 4.0.0 release candidate is out soon. You can check out some of its features running with EVGA Precision X 5 SKIN - LOLOLOLOLOL - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_sCItCEbEM . In all honesty, Precision X 5 skin should be free and be adopted by every RivaTuner tool out there because of EVGA can just steal anything it wants, then anyone should steal from EVGA.

Misinformed douchebags are so annoying. Perhaps "misinformed" is too nice a word. Ignorant? Yes, that's better. Ignorant douchebags. Crawl back under your rock MonarchX, and don't come back until you've at least bothered to read both sides of the story and the history of Precision before you make libelous statements. Moron.

Sorry to disappoint but after this drama, I'm pretty sure EVGA will change the skinning engine because using old Precision's skinning engine was the source of the main fuss. So, pretty sure AB and Precisions skins will be incompatible, on purpose.

Clocks up nicely on my 780ti SLI setup. Also.. 4.2.1 doesn't trip PB. (Personal Attacks deleted by Moderator)

Download and install it. But you won't find an official download link anywhere because the most recent version was removed (read the first post of this thread!). Or install it from the CD which came with your EVGA graphics card.

EVGA will announce its near release when it is ready. Until you see an announcement from EVGA, it is pointless to ask over and over again because you will not get an answer. It will be ready when it is ready.

ill just leave this here http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/evga-steals-the-rivatuner-rtss-design-concept-into-precisionx-15.html "Update 6: this intersting post from Unwinder caught our attention: Hope those are my last comments on this story. First, there are different rumors walking on the net related to the product licensing terms. Some people are trying to justify copying from the previous versions, so I’d like to clarify that to prevent any misunderstanding: The agreement defines the following intellectual property ownership terms: software product which I develop remains my copyrighted property, but during the contract the company receives exclusive distribution rights on it. Besides exclusive software distribution rights the company exclusively owns all the rest intellectual property, which is not directly related to software and which I could create during the contract: i.e. product name, product logos, artwork. That’s all. There are absolutely no ways to fit any form of previous software copy-pasting into the licensing model.
Second, I just decided to peek inside "in-house" application EXE. I'd better avoid doing so: even my original EXE string table is inside new executable as is. Including all the messages of original application, including all the messages of my proprietary USF skin compiler / decompiler built into original RivaTuner skinning engine, even including the references to original RivaTuner core libraries (RTTSH.dll). Even including the messages related to RivaTuner’s G15 LCD output module, which the company probably also tried to clone but couldn’t get working yet. Really, EVGA?
Dear company PRs, take a fair advice and simply stop giving any public comments with fake excuses. I’m not going to start a legal action against the company, I’m not asking for ANY compensation. I just want to let my users know the truth, protect my software, my ideas and technologies and then forget our past partnership. Just keep your lips sealed and let this story die istelf. Yawn. Already posted and discussed in a different thread. http://forums.evga.com/Did-EVGA-just-Steal-the-Rivatuner-RTSS-design-concept-into-PrecisionX-15-m2191513.aspx All the "proprietary" USF skin stuff has already been discussed. The "proprietary" language translation file which EVGA originally wrote and reused is also already discussed. only difference is the evga logo and skin on for the GUI. That's not the only difference. The other difference is that EVGA's Precision came out before the other two and that Unwinder stopped supporting Precision. Because Unwinder stopped supporting Precision and since Precision was the original, EVGA wanted to keep Precision going and wanted to be able to have control of Precision so that they could add the features the community requested. The only other alternative was to let Unwinder control them and let Unwinder cause their software to no longer be updated or relevant.

That "Update" is really really old by any standard, but you may have just seen it. Here is the summary: EVGA wanted to support the USF skin format which was made public by its developer, Unwinder ( http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=3316361&postcount=8). In order to do that, they had to use the same skinning framework (duh!) and so they did. Seems like Unwinder is playing stupid in that message, acting like he doesn't know they had to use the same references to support the same skinning format, which he made public. Idk, but sounds like a move to further appear like a victim and make EVGA look evil. Issue there is otherwise quite clear: EVGA wanting to support the same old, public skinning format. Note, it's all about the skinning and references (as in citing, using the word in a sentence, etc) to a dll file, nothing about actually reverse engineering that dll file, or any other RTSS component. They further made the hardware monitoring window look very much like the previous Precision, which was the biggest fault on EVGA's part. They did not need to do that, and that's the most important thing that they need to fix. Again, it's all about the looks, the visuals, nothing about the actual working components or code that was "copied" or "reused." If anything working component or code was copied, Precision X 15 would have every single bit of functionality as the old Precision, AND it would not have some bugs on supported functionality as reported by some, AND it would not have the additional features on top of the old Precision (64 bit OSD, etc). Internet is filled with people who either don't know what they're talking about, or those who knowingly manipulate the ignorant crowds into their agenda, which was, in this case "We hate EVGA!" - Did EVGA do something wrong?
Yes, they made parts (hardware monitoring) of their software look too much like another. On top of that, it seems like there were some programmer clumsiness/laziness involved, which further exacerbated the situation. To me, trying to support a publicly-made-available skinning format was NOT wrong in any sense of the word. - Did EVGA actually copy or reuse any code from old Precision?
With any reason, no, it doesn't seem like it, as otherwise, their new software would work perfectly, which was not the case. Further, Unwinder himself said repeatedly and EVGA confirmed repeatedly that EVGA never had access to any source code of RTSS or Precision.

Just going to move onto MSI Afterburner 4 while we figure this one out.

Ownership situation aside, the absence of an official link to download a fully-working, updated version of Precision is making EVGA - an otherwise remarkable enterprise - look really bad.
We, users, can sympathize - or not - with EVGA, but this issue has gone too far, and, as client, I have a right to expect proper support from the brand I am buying from.
We should not need to care about internal issues (even though some of us actually do); we are just clients who have spent a lot of money on EVGA cards for a reason, and this utterly disappointing.
Please, stand up for your name as a respectable institution, cut this "Facebookesque" b*tching and release the piece of software we have also payed for.
Thank you!

^ What he said! I don't need drama, I just need working 64 bit supported SW to support the overclocking of my two EVGA Classified 780's. I was using Afterburner, but deleted it when the new Precision came out, only to then find I couldn't actually download it. Of course I said to not keep all of my Afterburner settings because I wasn't expecting to run into this mess.

yes, the evga page just now shows what appears to be 3 distinct download links, none of which result in the start of a download, each of which dramatically pops-up the official disclaimer that is so past-history as to be rather suspicious instead of reassuring, and it is this pop-up that "appears" to block the start of the download. looks like this is already old news for those already here, I only now became aware a new download was announced and came here to download this afternoon, and instead make a post before I log out good luck on making it work
