Before I try to this version, will it properly install when v.6.0.0 was previously removed and properly show 6.0.2 w/o finding, wherever it is, the precise regedit location of the 6.0.0 leftovers?

GPU CLOCK OFFSET not saving to profiles.  Saves +0.  If GPU CLOCK OFFSET changed while profile selected, profile will refresh and reset clock back to +0.

Some of the same problems still exist even with the update, i.e OC scanner randomly running (only difference this time is that it sort of stops itself now, but the options for it still come up randomly). Core clocks do not sync between SLI 1080s and no matter what I do, only one card will have the core clock applied to it. Example first card will be running at 1850 while the second is at 2050

Bugs that still exist in the version (note that I have a GTX 1080 SC):

1: GPU clock offset does not save to profile, it shows +0

2: If I set my clock offset to +38, when I close precision and reopen, the offset is shown as +25, so not remembering the exact setting.

3: Logitech LCD display settings, small and medium text size is the same (this has been a long standing bug)

4: When pc is restarted, it seems to forget my logitech LCD settings approximately half of the time

This version was causing my computer to hang at after loading when windows loads. I had to take out my 1080 FTW and insert my 980 just to uninstall it. After I removed my 980 and reinserted my 1080 FTW I didn't have any more hanging issues.

    Windows 10 64 bit
    NVidia drivers 368.39
    GTX1080 Founders Edition

Did have oc scanner installed when first attempting to run Precision XOC, uninstalled OC scanner, uninstalled NZXT CAM, deleted any existing EVGA keys in the registry. All EVGA folders within SteamApps and ProgramFiles (x86) deleted manually.

Reinstalled Precision XOC v6.02, installed ok, run as administrator, program fails to load, not present in task manager.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no change. At a loss what to do?

    Any help appreciated!

Still has most of the same bugs.... Can not properly save profiles it will save memory changes but not GPU clock changes. OC Scanner randomly pops up on start up. It will not hold a Overclock it occasionally returns to default in the middle of game or benchmark. Also I have had a few GPU related crashes that seems to have stopped once Precision OC was deleted. Back to the other program that works that we are not allowed to talk about...

Randomly after launch I can get a "zx_demo_x64.exe has stopped working" and two instances of EVGA OC Scanner running with one of them hung up.
Not sure where this is coming from as I'm not selecting anything.

Otherwise there just seems to be a delay after launch before the main Precision OC X comes up with no other windows.

    EVGA GTX 1080 FTW & Windows 10 64-bit
-This version saves my LED color, but I still have go in and manually activate it, as it remains white.
-OC scanner randomly starts up now with this new version, and it didn't before with 6.0.1.
-The app no longer boots when windows starts in this version, were as it worked fine in 6.0.1.
-Profiles seems to be saving ok, but the clock speed won't stay set at 145, it drops itself to 125, but the card boosts to 2138 regardless, so might not be an issue.
Seems we took a few steps back on this one, hopefully we can take at least 3 forward on the next one.

    Win 10 64bit, 1080 SC, PXOC 6.0.2

I'm now getting the OC scanner starting by itself where it wasn't under 6.0.1

I'm also seeing a strange issue, on Heaven at least, that I wasn't before. The OSD is not showing the correct clocks, voltage etc, whereas Heaven's own overlay is showing the right clocks. If I switch back to the main GUI I can see the clocks aren't right in there either. In both cases they're showing 1721, whereas it's actually boosting to over 2100MHz

I'm having trouble saving my LED changes. Every time I shut down and then power on my computer, it defaults to white LEDs at startup. Does not seem to have the problem saving when restarting.

Still no luck on actually seeing the program window at all. I only see the thing where you enter your name, e-mail and so on. When I select OK after filling in the info the app just seems to quit. Subsequent attempts to run don't display even that, the app just appears for some seconds in Task Manager.

Follow up to my post above, after a few days of not having PrecisionX OC installed after the hanging issues I experienced. I decided to reinstall 6.0.2 and as soon as past the screen to enter my serial number my computer instantly froze again. Had to take out the 1080 and reinsert my 980 to uninstall PrecisionX OC again.

Unusable for me since I have SLI. I've tried everything I can think of but this version refuses to set clocks on both cards. It *kind of* works on the first card, but it will never apply OC settings to the second GPU.

    Bummer.

Gotta say guys, your precision X software has been severely lacking over the last several years. Starting with windows is such a basic feature and yet it hasn't worked right in years.. It seems to constantly have problems.
I'd prefer to use it, seeing as I usually buy EVGA cards but the quality has declined..
I'm going to be sticking with MSI afterburner for a while I think..

If you ain't living on the edge, you're takin up too much room.

Wanted to also mention that   "Fix GPU clock offset not saving to profiles", is not fixed as mine always read and store as 0, I'm using on my GTX 1070.

Precision x oc overlay will show the fps drop to 2 fps and back up to the actual frames I am getting. Any ideas why this happens?

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.0.2 2016/07/06 18:53:57 (permalink)
    Dear development team,

I am writing this list of bugs and dislikes to point out my frustrations about Precision XOC 6.0.2.  EVGA is my favorite brand in terms of products and customer support, but I am extremely disappointed with this version and previous versions of Precision.  I am absolutely livid about how the LED feature was implemented after spending $679.99 on a FTW 1080.  Please note up front, I've done computer repairs for a living for years and I can confidently say these points are not in any way affected by hardware or software in relation to my machine.   I sincerely hope you take this into consideration and improve your software.   At this point in time, I will strongly consider selecting a different brand for my next GPU purchase.

    BUGS:

    (1) LED color is reset to white when system is rebooted unless program is set to run on windows startup.  Even then, sometimes it will not hold.

    (2) Colors do not save to profile.  I'll change color, then select a profile with a previously selected color. The color does not change back.

    (3) Program causes immense keyboard delay when set to start with windows.  Boot times that normally take 10 seconds now take 2 minutes before my machine has full functionality.  I have had several EVGA cards.  During ownership, I have seen this issue with several versions of Precision and over two different Windows 10 systems.  I know this is a known issue by you, the development team and has been around for a while.  What makes it especially annoying is the above LED issues.  I now manually have to open the program after boot and set LED colors every time unless I want to deal with the ridiculous startup delay.

    (4) GPU Clock Offset does not stay at selected value.  When selecting my overclock of +98MHz and applying, it keeps the setting until system is rebooted or profile is reloaded.  Afterwards, it will set back to +75MHz.  This issue does not occur with MSI Afterburner.

    (5) OC Scanner menu AND/OR OC Scanner its self will occasionally open at random.  Have not figured out why this is happening or what triggers it.

    DISLIKES:

    (1) The new LED feature should be front and center.  You have to go through too many windows to change it.  6 Steps to change an LED Color is completely ridiculous for a high end product like this.  I have to do this EVERY TIME I start my machine to avoid the delay issue.

         EXAMPLE:
Settings Gear>Click Tiny LED Tab>Click Tiny LED Square>Select Color>Press OK>Press Tiny OK On Setting Tab.

    (2) Does the settings menu really have to be so small?  At 1080p it is pretty tiny, but at 1440p I have to squint or move closer to my screen.   Even the main program is too small on 1440p.  Gamers are starting to get more and more into high resolutions. It would be of value to you to get with the times and implement a scaling option.

    Thank you for your time,
    Mike H.

    Hey EvgaJacob-
I just wanted to ask when you think we can expect an update to 6.0.2 tuner? I don't want to continually manually open PrecisionX tuner every-time I turn on my computer. I'm not using 6.0.2 due to several issues which are not in the 15.3.11 tuner version.
    Thanks in ahead

WMI host provider bug from Precision X 5.3.11 still exists in EVGA Precision XOC 6.0.2. Precision X causes the WMI Provider Host service to consume CPU. Other people have confirmed reverting to 5.3.10 fixes this.

I describe the problem in more detail here:

I'd really like to see this fixed. I'm running a 5.3.10 now with my on my GTX 1080 to avoid the unnecessary CPU usage. I mostly run it for better fan curves.
