Hi, can someone help me get my OSD working please.
 
I am running Windows 8 64 bit, 4770K, MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming motherboard, EVGA GTX 980.

5.2.3 is supposed to work with Win8/8.1 but who knows, it might not work right for you like it don't work right for many others, the newer versions of Precision have been very buggy and it's still being worked on..Maybe try an older version for now, maybe 4.2.1 with RivaTuner Statistics Server 6.2.0 and see how it rolls..Or MSI Afterburner which has more features.

Is riva tuner necessary? i have having that thing on my computer, it causes all kinds of crapness.

You need to go into the menu, and bind the keys and make sure they are all enabled. I had this issue at first, and it took a few seconds to figure out. I am currently unable to post screen shots, but use the yellow arrows to scroll and get the option menu, then click osd... At this point, notice there are two pages (the part I missed for a little bit) and you have to configure both pages.

If my memory serves me correct, there is a third setting that needs to be changed, to get osd highlighted, but I can not remember where it is at this time.

Once I get back to my computer, unless completely tanked for the night, I will try to get you screen shots if you haven't found the settings already.

Also be aware, what ever keys you bind to OSD Will(!) become disabled in Windows. It can get frustrating to figure out which key bind works perfect for you. I think I used F5 F6 F7 and F8 in the end.

It usually messed up Xsplit Gamecaster.
 
Scarlet, as far as I know I have done what you said, I use CTRL+F1 to toggle the OSD, but if rivatuner is needed then I'll not bother, Gamecaster gives me my FPS already, so there's no need for two separate programs doing the same thing.

 
I am at my PC, so if you are around, we can try to figure this out.  I don't use Riva either.  just want to make sure your settings are working for you.
 

 

 


 
These are my current settings in 5.2.3, and I have not tested it yet.  I just now downloaded it, so I will test it now and see if it all works.

does this work on assassins creed unity with version 5.2.4 ... it isn't for me , but I think 5.2.5 came out half hour ago , ill try to dl it
 

I can't get it to STAY on for Far Cry 4. The OSD fires up as it should when the game launches, but when you have to choose to "log in" the OSD disappears and nothing I can do gets it to come back.
 
Any ideas?

I could not get it to work either,,,try this,,try that,,,intall/uninstall//re install..graph buttons,,settings,followed the above advice,,drivers,install.re install,,,phew,,,no good,,,everything worked except OSD BTW..


 
downloaded afterburner,,,checked off my OSD preferred settings,,,up and running 1st time..
 
prefer presicion x but I would rather play my game than mess with it all night and still doesn't work.. 

Scarlet-Tech could you please be so kind as to link the thread in which that Far Cry 4 issue with the OSD popping up then disappearing is resolved? I'm having the same with a lot of my games, such as Dota 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition.

I'm asking because I'm having similar problems with my OSD. It's not working in Dragon Age Inquisition or Dota 2. Haven't tried it in any other games.
The old version worked in Dota 2 and most other games, but I had a streak of games where it didn't work (Far Cry 4, Lichdom: Battlemage and Dragon Age Inquisition) so I decided to update Precision X and RivaTuner Statistics Server. And that seems to have been the wrong decision.

Hello, can someone help me to get working version, because later version won't work for me, i have win8.1 with geforce gtx860M 2Gb
